Silly question since I am new to modding, but are headers only detectable upon inspection? They do not make extreme noise or anything? Like I live in Canada and I take my car in every 6000 miles to nissan to do oil changes, maintenance all that good jazz so if I get the headers installed and then inspect will they be like you need to remove these?

So how easy is it to go back to stock for inspection after installing this trick little coupler and cutting off the front half of my catalytic converter pipe? Can I just plug the bung in the coupler and move the O2 sensor back to the original location? That would be sweet.....

I agree they are bs, 30% drive train loss is outrages!

I missed where you posted and the feed back you got?

what are you talking about?
bhs07c wrote:i mean these new install tricks are great and all but what about the previously stated release dates?
Kyle said it would be worth the wait - i trust them. Id wait another few months not to have the cel lights come on and butt dyno improvement. This is hot.

Right on, another Calgarian!Which dealership do you take your car to? I know from my personal experience that Brasso doesn't care. They told me that modding the car wouldn't void my warranty (unless I did something that required messing with the ECU...like boosting it...)

It just so happens I go to Brasso Nissan in deerfoot meadows. Hey ESP what mods do you have on your car right now? I was going to get Nismo exhaust but I guess I would have to ship it in as I was told Canada does not have the new nismo exhausts for the 4th gens.

OK I just got out of the new products meeting and I got the update on these headers.

They got pushed back a few days because we had a very rare R&D opportunity with another vehicle that we've been trying to work on for quite sometime now. It was only a one week delay though so no big deal. The first article (the very first piece out of the fixtures and jigs to prove that everything is correct) will be arriving here on Tuesday. Once that is signed off we will go straight into production and should have parts in hand a week after that.

Basically we're about two weeks away from having parts in hand.

To go back to stock after installing that slip joint will be no big deal. Just leave that slip joint on there, remove the header and replace it with the O.E.M. exhaust manifold. The slip joint will be able to stay in place without any modifications. We do not relocate any of the factory flanges or anything like that so it will still work with your factory parts.

Thank you for the update...

You guys at stillen are no joke. I like how you just give enough details to keep this thread afloat. When a new thread breaks out with all the details people are going to go nutz for sure.

I hope to hear some numbers or more info in 2 weeks or less. i cant take the anticipation any longer.

So...what are the chances of being able to purchase these directly from your shop? I don't wanna deal with UPS charging me and arm and a leg and my left testicle, so when I drive down to SoCal I'm thinking of picking them up then...

When are you coming down to So. Cal?

I should have parts in hand in about two weeks or so. Let me know before you come down though and I'll put a set aside for you so that your trip is not in vain.

December. My fiancee and I are driving down the west coast for our honeymoon. She's cool with me taking a few days to get parts for the car while we're down there!...and that's why I'm marrying her.

so the sentra headers go for $470 but come with a race pipe. can we expect it to be the same price or more/less?

or how bout an introductory price? probably not because there seems to be alot of people that are gonna pick this up asap.

Lol

They dont let you return installed products unless there is a defect in it.Stillen isnt some bs ebay company. If its got their name on it, its a top notch quality product.

GROUP BUY

hahahahah

where is LBC? NO group buys unless they offer it.

Id be glad to have a cheaper introductory price though...

Hey Guys,

I don't have any pictures right now because we dont' have a final product. I would show you pictures of at least the prototype parts but the final version is completely different than what the prototype looked like. The prototype part was scary ugly and just horrible...But, the goal was to make that fit on the Sentra SE-R. Now we aren't going to make it for the SE-R though so we've re-designed it.

In regards to returns. We can not return an item like an exhaust system if the reason for return is purely based on not liking the sound of it. If it has any sort of leak, or damage, or defect, then we will issue a warranty return. Which basically means we either fix the problem with the part (in an acceptable manner) or we replace it with a brand new part.
