Wow. My last tank I did 26 mpg, all city. Had several fast acceleration sessions, like, enough that I resigned to the fact I was going to have to fill up sooner.

I never would have thought I'd get that much from that tank. The most I did yet. Weird.

How much does the S-13 tank take? I had half of the bottom bar, I filled 7 gallons at Shell station and I have Two and a half bar. I thought it was 14.9 gallons tank. Now it seems like 14 gallon tank.Just changed the spark plugs again. The last cheap NGK had to take some rich fuel and didn't last as long as the Bosch Platinum4+ under the same conditions. Now I have Bosch Platinum2+ after fixing and pouring consentrated Fuel cleaners.

I have my RB25DET right around 18 mpg. I try to drive on my best behavior, but the car is too much fun.

Also, fuel needles are never accurate. I can drive almost 175 miles on 1/4 tank, then the last 30 or so miles in the last 3/4's

Yeah, I know. You're all going to complain about me bumping a month-old thread. Deal.

I'm only getting about 15 mpg. I do all city driving and I constantly have my heat on but I shift no higher than 3500 rpms. I'm annoyed. I filled up today with 93 when I was on 'E' and it got me about 12 gallons or so and there were 197 miles on my trip meter. Is there a chance something's up with my gauge? I've heard people getting 300+ miles on a single tank and I can't even hit 200. I haven't tried running it until the light came on yet. Maybe I'll do that this time. I'm just really annoyed with this.

A month old? try three years old!!! Mine gets 27-34 depending on driving style and summer/winter gas. I would check your o2 sensor and maf. sounds like you might be running rich. Does it have heavy deposits in the exhaust or smoke at all? If you haven't done it it might be a good time for a tune up. Plugs, wires, air filter ect can help out a few mpg. Synthetic transmission and diff fluid help lower drivetrain losses too. Also unless your engine is modified 93 is not necessary, 89 or 91 should show a slight improvement in mileage and pose no risk for your engine.

you really need a flat area to test and test at various speeds. i can get 35 mpg going down freeway if there is a slight slope. there really are no flat areas in vancouver.

I use ecutalk.com to get gas mileage calculated instant by instant. it measures output of injectors

I really want to set a benchmark so i can see if tuneups etc are improving things.
