Alright. I've always been courious as to what the norm is for gas mileage among our 240's. I searched and didn't see any polls so I thought I'd start one. This is for average mpg, not all highway, or all city.

SR, KA, CA, DE, E, T, TT, Super, LS1, Whatever, just post if it's not a KA.

Mine gets 27

I average about 25-27 in town i guess, sometimes i've gotten worse (about 19 once) and other times i've gotten better (31 mpg is my record for city driving)

I can make that car put out like 27-28 in town. On the highway I can make it do better. My actual driving habits depend though. I think I've gona as low as 15 or so when I'm driving for fun.

I drove like my gramma to acheive 31 in the city, but i get like 26 giving it half throttle and shifting over 3K every shift..... which makes for nice driving and not being gramma. I got 19 flooring it and winding it out all the time tho....

I get 27 suburb, 42 highway. I commute to college 27 miles each way so I have the safc II set up to correct negative and lean it out. I still out run most 4cyls, and I blow solid BAM flames now instead of the wafting 3 footers i used to blow :-D. Oh btw I'm running a KA24E, rb20 injectors and fpr, injen intake, custom catless exhaust and the SAFC II. Other than that bone stock.

A good tune-up usually helps.

Yeah, I'm actually surprised at this. I was expecting to see 22-24 being the most common.

I have a short ram intake, hi flow cat, elect. fan, and NGK plugs + wires and that's it. It's had a full tune up too. 02 sensor, CTS, fuel filter, cap + rotor and plugs + wire of course.

I get 30 driving highway only and 25 driving agressivly city only and 27 mixed with me driving normall. If I'm drifting alot or driving hard I get 26.

maybe someone just had a busted KA

between school trips i usually always calculate it... i dont think i've ever gotten below 27 on the trip. and i dont drive 65mph or whatever the 'recommended effecient' mph # is.

I just figured mine up today when I filled up and it was 29.3mpg on a stock KA in my s14. I was freaking amazed, I guess this motor loves the 93 octane.
