MFL28:

I have been flogging every single Mustang in my area for months. My car is a 2007 G35 Coupe with Stillen Exhaust, Spacers, MREV, and JWT Intake with Z tube. Not a single Mustang till date has made me look bad. There are tons of them where I live. Every single of those mustangs had the mean exhaust sound. The gap even grew slightly larger when I got to third gear and was in 5000RPM. In 1st and 2nd gear, the Mustangs were pretty good. Aove this, the gap began to widen very slightly.

The only car that has surprised me was the Mazda Speed 6. Now, I am more careful with those machines because they look ordinary but they move pretty well.

The computer in the G-35 makes the G-35 drive faster or slower depending on the xteristics of your driving---it learns your driving style (my mechanic told me this). So, a G-35 thst is driven very gently on a routine basis willnever hold up to any Mustang because it takes time for its computers to re-learn the new aggressive driving style. So, my computer has actually learned the fast and furious style, so I am able to hang or beat every Mustang in my area.

I'm just not going to convince any of you guys now am I? Come on now, I don't doubt your 07 coupe can beat me. Yeah Mustangs, for the most part, do have more bark than bite, but I love the bark anyways. lol I appreciate the candid discussion. It's not a huge deal. I'm not here to knock anyone's car (as if you could really find much to knock about a G35). I don't do that anyways. There have been discussions on stang boards about..damn ford is really sucking it..300 horse from 4.6L and you've got manufacturer after manufacturer putting more power out than that from way less displacement and the consensus is really that Ford has always and will always sell the crap out of Mustangs because it's an American classic and people will always buy it because of what it is. It's old school, people love the look and the sound and the cost and the nastalgia behind them..even if the Japs can build a much better performing car. off topic, sorry

Add the fact that there is nothing out there that sounds as sweet as a good exhaust on a V8 and you see why the Mustang is a favorite. All you have to do is drive a Mustang GT convertible, (or a Cobra vert) and listen to the exhaust and you're sold. I love my G but it will never sound like a Ford V8.

I knew you couldn't resist putting up a pic! Now who's misbehaving SVT?

If you've ever owned a Mustang, you will develop a two mile radar for the exhaust sound.

This discussion is why I did a turbo install on my 06' Coupe. Now there are no what ifs to even consider. GT Mustang? What GT Mustang, seems like there was one here a second ago but now I can't see him in my rear view any more... :-)

Have you seen her lately? She is in dire need of restoration.

Wow... Farrah Fawstang!

I think she's had a couple too many O'neil injections.

Yes. The g would beat the stang. I bake stangs daily. But the stang can be modified for much less and cost much less to begin with. There is nothing wrong with a mustang. It's a pretty cheap v8, that has an aftermarket that rivals honda civics.

You talking about the FORD PU with the missing door and the rifle rack in the back window?

I wouldn't worry about it. I heard that he got it stuck axle deep in the mud out back of the double-wide, after the septic tank overflowed.

It's not really about what kind of car you drive that makes you fast, it's about who has the least amount of respect for a dollar bill that makes the car you drive fast.

I have absolutely no respect for a dollar bill...bring on the snake!
