I mean really, for the size and the bang for the buck, it's hard not to have one of these little suckers clipped to a pocket or on a keychain.
hell, it's a search light that runs off a AAA battery
Great choice!RCA wrote:I just bought one.
Although instead of a $40 Fenix Lights LDO1, I got the iTP A3 EOS for $25
Nice light indeed.fiznat wrote:I admit I am a member over on the candlepowerforums-- a pretty nerdy flashlight forum. I've only got a few posts there though haha so I'm not a total lost case.
I would strongly recommend taking a look at the Quark series by 4sevens if anyone is interested in a good light. I've got a few of them in a couple different sizes. The one I take to work is the Quark 123^2 R5, about 4" long and it pushes out 230 lumens on high (which is really freaking bright), and 0.2 lumens on low (nice moonlight mode). It is made out of titanium too, which is 100% bad a**. http://www.4sevens.com
No doubt.Mr1der wrote:
Streamlight makes some excellent stuff too.

$150 bucks? For a flash light? Dude.....alms24sebring wrote:http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb14 ... larged.jpg
I will never go back to cheap flashlights. Its $150 but I sware up and down by this flashlight. It will be the last one you buy and includes warranty. It is super bright serially, and also perfectly round and focused that spreads light evenly. Hi, med, low and strobe.. I love my streamlight. Buy one!
That is sweet news to me, because I thought I bought a sh*t light. I am not to serious about key chain lights but I am glad I didn't buy crap.PoorManQ45 wrote:Great choice!
As of now all I have on my key chain is a laser pointer. I have had no use for it other then bother people with it.Mr1der wrote:sounds like a nice little light.

LMAO @ "search light that runs off a AAA battery". Will it run off or rechargeable type AAA?
Thats my flashlight right there. Love it.alms24sebring wrote:

Seriously, worth it. The light is rechargeable without removing the battery, you just click it onto the charger. Plus, the charger piggy back charges and maintains a spare battery if you ever run the one in the light dry. On high a full charge will run for 6 hours continuously, and almost twice that on low. That $150 doesnt just get you a light either, you get the light, 2 batteries, and a charger. And that is retail, I got my setup for just over $100.RCA wrote: $150 bucks? For a flash light? Dude.....
Maybe I'm looking up the wrong model from Stinger, but if this light is brighter then your headlights you seriously need to remove the yellowing from your lens and/or change your bulbs out.FlatBlackIan wrote: To give you an idea of how bright this light is, Ive driven in pitch black, with no headlights, holding my light out the window. I urge you to check out the stinger series. Its big enough to be plenty powerful, while not being so small that it gets lost. I like it at work, because its just big enough to fit in my back pocket comfortably without sticking out too much. At any given time, there are 4 or 5 streamlights moving around my shop.AppleBonker wrote:Yeah, I'm probably looking for two. I thought so.FlatBlackIan wrote:I have a Streamlight Stinger LED.
Mr1der wrote:I kinda wish I knew about the ITP before I got the Fenix...ah well, it's a nice, well built light.
is the ITP an aluminum body? It looks like it but I could get good specs...though I think it had a MIL number...so maybe it's mil spec aluminum.
Thank you Im glad someone is with me. I have dropped this myself a million times and is the most durable 1 I will ever own. Seriously seriously worth it. It is also really that bright. I think it could outshine or be equal to my HIDsFlatBlackIan wrote:

Plus it has a no questions warranty. If it stops working, send it in, and they send it back fixed, no questions asked. That being said, Ive dropped mine in every automotive fluid conceivable, tossed it onto concrete numerous times, I've even dropped it from as high as 15 feet onto solid concrete with no more than a fresh scratch. And because its LED, you'll never replace the bulb.
Are you looking directly at the light when you say that it's that bright? Because that's not how you tell how bright something is.alms24sebring wrote:

In Ian's case I think the poor optics on his older S13 are allowing his streamlight to outshine the high lumens head light bulb.Unicorn wrote:I believe that many (if not most) of the spotlights mounted on police cars are about 800 lumens, and a little over 100,000 candlepower. A measurement of lumens by itself is almost worthless, as bad as just candlepower. A 60 lightbulb produces 800 lumens, but it's not focused, a Surefire 6P makes 65 lumens, but is focused fairly tight so is a brighter light. You can't compare different manufacturs light by just the lumen rating since how it is focused will make a large difference. Even from the same maker things could vary. The Turboheads from Surefire for example. The 9P and the 9PT were both 105 lumens, but the turbohead was more tightly focused, and therefore the hotspot was brighter, but a little smaller.
I am very familiar with candela, lumens, and lux.RCA wrote:
