me too, i wanna see your car and swap in person, its so clean.

and laziboi- if we rent the camp ground or rooms at the fontana resort we can all meet there. im telling you that would be the best bet. we could just do the camp ground, its cheap and fun.

OK!!!! Things are looking awesome for this trip!!!I just finished my LS coil swap and the car is running great. Not 100% but close to it.

Question----

How long are we gonna run this poll for?If we are going to Deals Gap for the Labor Day weekend, we need to book hotels EARLY.

Also--Let me know if this is ok.

If I have some time, I'm gonna go through the RB forum and get everyones Email and put it on a list, then send it to Sickness14.

I think the poll should be pretty much done now. i can take it off. As for booking the hotel, great idea. How exactly do i go about booking this? i guess i should wait for that email list and then send everyone an email asking how many people will be in their party to arrange for sleeping accommodations and rates. I could give everyone the info for the place where we're sleeping and have them book their own rooms as long as they say they're part of the NICO group to get the group rates or w/e.

That list idea sounds great, it would be a better way to confirm.

Is everyone on the above list DEFINITELY attending?

Ok cool.Looks like Deals Gap Sept 3-6 is it.

Exactly...You would call them up tell them your calling from Nico RB club and your going to have X amount of people coming in Fri Sept 3rd and leaving Mon Sept 6th. What kind of group rate can you get?

Then you would set up a NICO discount and like you said everyone calls and books their own room.

OK, tonight when I get home I'll start putting together the list. I'll email it to you and my phone # if you need help.

ive been to deals gap numerous times, and just as a suggestion, we could stay in murphy nc which is like 20 mins away, or we could stay at robbinsville which is where most people stay when they do car club events. robbinsville is a good spot because not only is it close to TOTD but you get to enjoy two badass roads before you get to deals gap, the Cherohala skyway, which is very lightly patroled and long WIDE turns, and the hellbender which is up most peoples alley because it is highspeed yet with many great turns.

Alright guys, did some research and came up with this. This website allows you to post a group event and you select what town you want to stay in, and it puts it in a database for hotel managers to browse and essentially bid on your group to get you the lowest group rate.

It does sound like fun. Meeting a network of folks I could source info, ideas or parts from & a cool sounding trip to boot.

I already spent a bit of money & too much of my PTO from work this year planning my Singapore F1 trip this coming Sept. It's gonna be aewsome...

I just finished playing with google maps. It looks like a ten to eleven hour trip from Orlando. I say Florida guys meet up somewhere central and caravan our way to Deals Gap. Or we can pick up cars as we make our way through I75 North.

Yeah a FL Caravan would be cool.I'm gonna be coming from South FL

It's about 14 hours from me.

I'm thinking of leaving like Thurs night around 10pm-12am to get there around 12-2pm.

Here's a pic of the route that mapquest suggests. The SoFl guys would pass I4 and the Turnpike or where Route/Hwy 408 ends and meets the Turnpike.

I don't know the Orlando/Northern FL area that well, so if you guys would know the best place to meet up.

408 and Turnpike Sound like a decent spot. The thing is that at the time frame that you are leavin from South FL would put you through Orlando between 1 and 3 in the morning. Who needs sleep anyway. Redbull We can pick up more people as we move through I75.

Hey wasn't there a big Nissan meet in Carlise PA last year in late April early May?

NC is a bit far. How about a Tristate meet.

Dont even get me started on the PA nissan/rb meet, I drove 10 hours to the york meet that was supposed to be all great and dandy, and I could of seen more rb/nissan cars here in ohio on any given weekend. If you think 500 miles is far better go someplace else. What we are trying to do is make everything fair for the group, not just for someone. Deals gap is going to be fun and well worth the drive, you should really think about it.
