We sometimes have BBQ meet ups over at Turkey Lake Park, Orlando, Florida.

All in all, I'll do the sponsoring effort

My car should be up and running before april, I hope. I'd be down for a road trip, maybe nashville or a little further from Indy. I'm sure I could get a few cars around here to follow down, could be a good time.

i'm down but driving down to FL is a long ways from DC. NC is def more doable. isn't there usually a DNI drag meet in march or april in GA?

maybe could do something on the side during that event?

yeah...i'm in NW FL but south FL is like an extreme for alot of people. I think there'd be a better turnout if it was set up somewhere more centralized, maybe atlanta, or nashville or something like that? i'd be down though!

I am very down to do something but in all reality it would not be fair to have it all the way down in FL, when we have a lot of rb members north of kentucky. It would be more in a central location like in TN @ deals gap aka tail of the dragon or some place thats central to all of us on the eastern half. Maybe we can have it at a import drag show or some big drag show . In ohio alone we have a number of crazy built rb's, just in my small little country town of marysville we have over 10 rb built cars 5 of them being over 500whp. All of us have other dailys and trailors so we could trailor our car to TN or NC. My trailor can hold 3 inclosed so I have a spot for someone local that wants to ride down with me and chip in diesel.

I think TN has a big import event in the summer.

nashville is 4-5hrs, orlando is 15hrs, lol. a bit more than a little. I'd be down to drive down for IA in Nashville, there are alot of cars that head there from here anyways. Its July 17th and 18th in Nashville. Maybe somewhere more centered, but still has something going on...i'd hate to meet in the middle to to eat Mcdonalds, lol.

Im also def up for a meet - florida is like just around the corner from NY... lol...If it were in florida id be up for it but most likely trailer my truck down. Id say something in mid summer would probably be good - i still have my work cut out to get the truck together...

A central meeting point some where around tn/nc would be alot better. I'm not driving down to FL for a weekend thing. If I'm going to drive to FL, which is 1K miles or about 15hrs for me, I'm going to stay for a week at least.

Deals gap is an amazing idea, I LOVE going there and I haven't been in about a year.

i did monterey cali to san antonio tx, 22 hours (over 4 days though), in june, through the 110* desert mountains, 3500rpm at 80 the whole way, with about 400lbs of tools and stuff in the trunk. no a/c yet either. my friggin wife following in her g6, a/c cranked way up....friggin spoiled!

ok, not really related to the meet, just wanted to say how wicked it is to drive across country like that in a car i (well, dustin from austin did the engine swap and he did a bad a** job!) ok, goin to bed now to get up early, i get friday off, so i get to re-do my rideheight and fix my 1800 rpm idle!

From our area just to the northern tip of FL was 1k miles, I bought my evo in jacksonville 4 years ago which sucked , orlando is still hours away from jacksonville. There is no way Im driving 16+ hours for a day thing. It always works this way I went to a Rb meet in york pa 4-5 years ago which was almost 8-9 hour drive for me, so many people online said to reserve a spot for each person to eat and parking, it was such a f***ing lame a** event only 15 people showed up, it was supposed to be over 100 of all types of nissans , and everyone left excuses on the forum to why they could not make it. I will go if its a weekend thing, and we have a track to go to or something else . No offense to anyone but what ive learned in the past 11 years messing with 240's is that 90% of nissan owners are cheap asses. Unlike supra/sti/or evo forums if anything involves money like renting a track or anything that envolves money they are not willing to do anything. I have yet to see any pritave track rentals or "meet" with nissan community (maybe 350z guys) Thats why I have to sign up for track days on other forums to mid ohio. When and if this meet happnes I really would love to see who travels the furthest.

Id show up- just prob not with my datsun if it was that far. Nice coach flight down and a rental just to meet those who have helped me so much with my build.

But yeah- there is no way I am driving that far for a meet

I'm with you. I'd consider flying down to meet up, but I can't drive the 240 1000 miles there and back. It would cost me $350 in gas alone. NC is reachable in 16 hours, but Orlando would be a 30 hour drive. Retarded. I'd get there and have to turn around right away to make it back in time for work on Monday morning

How much closer is deals gap for everyone? ?I've always wanted to go.Even though its about 15 hours away.

looking at the map i think somewhere around nashville would be the most central. from detroit it's about 8 hours...from south florida it's about 10-11. new york would be the furthest at about 12 hours

boosted98, there ARE and have been private track rental nissan/datsun events. Turnout was not good enough.

Longest drive in my S14 was from here to 100mi south of ATL. Nashville would be an easy drive.

But other than country music, what's in Nashville? ?I'm a bit ignorant whn it comes to anywhere other than east or west coast.

Nashville seems to be farther west than deals gap. And about the same time for me.

Import Alliance...given most of the cars there are shaved, tucked, lambo'd honders....but it could be a sweet time to meet everyone, while going to one of the largest import meets of the year! Plus there are alot of fast cars that go down
