1 year warranty on knocking smoking etc. basically if it breaks they replace the engine free but they dont re-emberse labor charges.

UPDATE: got her back to day...DAMN night and day differance between na and tt and i'm at stock boost! unfotunately i had to go straight to work after picking it up... but man i'm excited to leave.... but.... somethings up with the drive shaft i think because its vibrating ALOT and its got an idle problem which he said was attributed to the blow off valves but i dont think its just that because it died a couple times on me today and from what i've heard its not that bad. i think my mines ecu is f***in s*** up cuz its tuned for s*** i dont have so i need to get another computer more than likely because they jb welded that s*** in so they cant f*** with it.... but i'll get pics probably tomorrow or thurs. thurs. is my first full day off so i'll take pics and stuff, then take it back to the shop so he can check out the drive shaft and idle problems.

seems like all-in-all you got a great deal! shops that are knowledgeable about z's and do swaps for 1200$ are far and few, as you can tell by the amount of people asking for contact details

The driveshaft is likely not on the right rotation if its vibrating alot. I recommend getting a 1-piece anyways as its a pretty cheap part and it transfers power much much better... plus its an easy mod to do.

yeah i'm going to adams but HELL no i'm not drifting its too soon. i gotta break in the clutch and i need to continuously flush the radiator out over the next few days because water is coming out so dirty man that motor was sitting for a LONG a** time i havent even put coolant in it yet.. just when i think its gonna start coming out clean, i fill it up and run it for a few minutes and it comes out dirty again. i'ma flush it again tommorrow before adams though.
Weber3211 wrote:

money i dont have, plus if i do that i'ma need 2 big fans and a nice shroud for it push enough to keep the motor cool so i'll stick to this one for now i guess.

i'ma start working on bringing back the wed night fontana rwd/awd meet meet pretty soon, i might be meeting up with some cats on friday just to chill i'll post a thread if i decide to try and make it a meet.

yes sir, as much as i hate to admit it, i think i may have been wrong about doing the swap this way. i mean i had 2 tt engines and a blown na engine to pick off of and i still ended up having to buy new parts. i spent 700 more dollars on replacing s*** i didnt have and 650 on that oil pump last minute so the whole thing from start to finish cost me 2350 plus the i'd like to say 1500 for the other parts i had to buy that the motor didnt have and then 950 for the tt motor. all together i spent around 5 grand. but like i said i got alot of performance and upgraded parts also. i think the reason that z1 quotes you 8 grand is to cover the parts that are guaranteed to be bad on the clip when you get it, like most of the sensors and the wiring harness, all of the vaccume lines and water lines, the egr, etc. but to pay that and end up with a stock tt is still a waste of money to me. but i'm sure now that it would be easier to get a front clip and have a shop do it for around what i payed and not have to go through all of the hard work i had to do assembling s***...that is if you want a stock tt.

also.... everyone who said "solid motor mounts were going to suck and not to get them and you're an idiot and your gonna vibrate you're whole chassis...." you guys are parrots, anyone who says this obviously hasnt used them and is just relaying what some guy who heard from some guy who heard from his friends cousin who used them on his moms tercell... i cant feel them at all except when i start my car the whole chassis shakes a bit, and also when i hit high rpms i can feel it but other than that its quiet and normal. i have 2 working speakers in my car and i can hear my music over my exhaust, solid motor mounts and stripped out trunk and i dont even have to blast it. fact of the matter is they will never have to be replaced and they are 100% worth what little noise and vibration they make.
