i have a front mount that is an upgrade from stock and according to the stats its good to 500-600 hp. and i have that mine's ecu tune though i dont know what its on it still. i only want to boost around 13lbs i dont want to go all crazy and boost 15 to 18 thats more than enough.Z32 TwinZ wrote: 1 you need upgraded turbos, 2 upgraded intercoolers, and 3 a good tune. the stock turbos get sooo hot when boosting over 15psi that the air explodes in the engine before it even sparks (detonation). i was detonating at 16psi on 93 octane.
nah dude, keep it at 7...you can't handle double digit boost yetphanatikz32 wrote: i only want to boost around 13lbs i dont want to go all crazy and boost 15 to 18 thats more than enough.

i have this boost gauge my friend gave me for free but there is no wiring or anything for it so i dont know how to hook it up do i need a harness or something?Z32 TwinZ wrote:phanatikz32 use .045 welding tips and you should be good. every z is different so get a boost gauge.
you are gonna use that autometer boost gauge you showed me right? If it's a mechanical gauge then you can just go to pep boys and get the Sunpro boost gauge kit. It's like 10 bucks and it comes with all the necessary fittings (including the compression fittings) and the nylon tube that goes to your engine bay. You'll also need a small rubber adapter and a plastic "tee" fitting for the vacuum lines to hook up your nylon tube. This can all be found at pep boys or your local auto store sunpro kit:phanatikz32 wrote:i have this boost gauge my friend gave me for free but there is no wiring or anything for it so i dont know how to hook it up do i need a harness or something?

hook the gauge up with a lot of slack so you can trouble shoot your engine for now and still mount the gauge later on with a nice wire tuck.
