cool about that skyline. were they ever imported to the usa??? was any skyline an american production car?

i dont see much love in here for the mid 70's Transa ams and firebirds, whats up with that? also, what about 300m's of the day and falcons fairlanes,, GTO's GTX. those were all great cars. but the ac cobra has to one of the greatest cars of all time. it was just raw power...

we never recieved the older skylines. you can import them with little trouble since they're over 25 years old, but thats if you can find one in good shape and for a good price.

i wasnt a fan of the mid70s trans-ams or firebird or their chevy counter parts the camaro. i thought they were too big, didnt look as mean as the older ones. i do like the 74-76ish trans-ams though with the big bird sticker on it. what about the belvadere? some came with the Hemi in them, with the cross ram race intake. i think the fairlanes are nice too. and the old falcons.

Give me a Bandit trans am a white suit and some aviator sunglasses and I will be set.

Megaseth I think the rambler is best left alone. Besides its all about tha rebel machine anyways, or the Gremlin X with a 304. :D

Ha! I remember them. I was kinda partial to the 2nd generation ones with the long hoods. Remember Mark Donahue's Sunoco 6 Trans am car? Oooo yeah.

My brother had a 63 Rambler American convertible when he was younger. Cute car for a rust bucket.

my dads friend had a late 60s early 70s model Javelin. hehe, he didnt like having to look up parts for a rambler when he needed something.

like the funny cars. the old ram-chargers were way ahead of their time and they dominated the races.

They really are a terribly underated muscle car. So cool and pretty rare as far as production numbers. Then you got ones like that 78 that look like it would have been a rally beast back in the day. AMC pride whut whut! I mean in a time when detroit was the big name they were being built in Kenosha Wisconsin I know I mispelled that but oh well.

I'll bet that '78 has no go at all - those are the post-oil embargo days

Remember the Mustang II?

Is that a direct jab at me? ::Looks at car list:: :D

Edit: the amx in the picture is a 79 not 78 sorry bout that. It had 2 engine options 258 6 cyl. and a 304 v8. Can't find power rating on it, but I know you could build the little bastard. Or swap out a 360, 390 or 401.

Hey crzycav there was never a Boss 351. There was a Boss 302 and a Boss 429 available in 1969-70. There was a mach 1 with the 351 cleveland in it.

yup, the hardest of all to find. There's a reason not as many were made as the 302, but I can't remember right now, I think it might've had something to do with SCCA racing...

I'm wanting to say the 302 was used in SCCA, kinda like the first Z-28 with the old DZ motor and the Boss was made to compete with it. The 351 wasn't allowed for the series or something like that, it's all a blur!

ok yeah, that sounds right. i knew the 302s were the old trans am racing ones or something. i guess thats the same with the 429s. i'll have to look that up to make sure.

nah, the 429 was popular because it was the 429:D the 302 is usually the easiest to find thought the 429 is usually the most desired.

The 351 seems to be the unwanted middle child in this case:(

damn that sucks. the 351 was also one of the biggest bad boys on the lots. this guy had one on my classic car that he had done a little work to, not much. and it was making over 400hp and ran 12s. plus they looked good too :D

yeah, I got to ride in a 12 sec 351 Windsor powered '69 Mach 1 before. That was a long time ago...

very nice looking cars, I think the '69 was the best looking mustang ever built personally (it's also the most exspensive to restore!)

The best looking mustangs ever built are the newest ones made. I think the 60's were ugly.
