Unfortunately, this 2-step isn't standalone. It's integrated into a board I got from HybridKA (devious).

The way it works is there are multiple map storages on the chip. The board has onboard dip switches that determine which map is accessed. Additionally, the dip switches can be controlled externally via remote switch. So, with one on the clutch pedal, I have it setup so that when the pedal is depressed more than about 10-15mm, the switch circuit is closed, pitching the board into a different map.

The secondary map related to this switch is programmed with a lower rev limit, retarded timing, enriched fuel, etc. This is how I get the 2-step.

When the clutch pedal is released, the switch circuit is open again, reverting back to the base map setting.

Another fun thing with this feature is flatshift. I can hold WOT between gears, which limits turbo lag and prevents any overrev.

It really depends on your knowledge of tuning, ROM editing and hardware configuration.

I could probably build my own board using the diagrams I've found on ECCS. However, it wouldn't be because I'm an electronics genius, but rather because I can read instructions and pinouts.

Tuning the 2-step requires some tuning knowledge, so I'd say it would be rated at about a 6.

As far as using the board, if it were already setup and installed on the computer, I'd say it's as easy as a 1.

You push the clutch, hold the pedal to the floor and it does the 2-step. You release the clutch and it goes back to normal.

Ok tell me whats my next step.

Bolted transmission to motor, got new plugs, wires, altenator, battery, belts.

ECU and wiring harness comin in the mail... after the wiring hanress come, im going to plug in all the plugs n stuff... um bolted the motor mounts onto the motor... than what?

just drop the motor in and put in the ecu... and put oil in and crank it over for 15 seconds like u did and it should start right up after i put the coolant in and other stuff.
