Finally, I am ready to start the group buy on the ECU... I posted the other thread to let you guys know so you could start getting things ready..... Well NOW IS THE TIME!!!!! As stated earlier, here is the pricing..... - $155 if we provide the core. You pay, you get the ECU, you send back your stock ECU *see note*- $105 if you send us your core.- $20 for a reprogrammed chip. THIS WILL WORK IF YOU HAVE A JWT ECU ALREADY. What we will do is send you our program and you can install the chip into the ECU yourself..... Takes just a few mintues....- The above applies too for a 94 ECU, however, you must send us your ECU in order for us to reprogram it.. Still $15.. (I raised prices by $5 to reflect losses by paypal) You will paypal to me.. [email protected] . If you do not have paypal, please notify me and I will arrange something... What im going to do is collect the money for the ECUs, and then send robert an E-Check so that we dont lose any money on paypal expenses... The only reason we are going through me instead of right through robert is because he does not have the time to answer all the emails and things like that... Also if you steal an ECU, i will know about it and hound you.....! Also it buys robert insurance in case something does happen and we need extra funds.... IM NOT REALLY MAKING MUCH MONEY ON THIS TRUST ME! *note on the core thing: Robert bought these ECUs with the intentions on not losing his stock... He spent his own money buying these ECU's. I trust that NO ONE on this forum will screw him over by stealing one of his core ECUs. This core system allows that you dont have any downtime on your car.. Please do not take advantage of this!!! This system works only if you do it as designed... I reserve the right to bug you if you do not return your core ECU!!!!!! When you recieve the reprogrammed ECU, please ship back the ECU within one week of installing in your car. If people start stealing ECU's we will just jack the price up to make up for lost money..... Currently we have 2 TCS ECU and 2 NON TCS ECU in stock.. The first 4 people to pay reserve the right to using the core ECU... Notifications in this thread will be posted when core ECU are no longer available through us... Which simply means you will have to send us an ECU... Shipping:We will ship in a timely manner, so you are expected to do the same... One of the best things Ive found for shipping is the USPS priority mail FLAT RATE BOXES. You can ask for them behind the counter, and it costs $7 to ship anywhere within the united states..... Doesnt really matter what courier you use... WE are not held responsible for shipping errors..... if you are sending us an ECU, it is your responsibility to include the following in your paypal to me as well as in the box to robert:Name Return addressService desired (reprogram of a JWT ECU or reprogram of a stock ECU)Program desired- standard or more advanced (if you can get 93 octane where you are and if your Q has outstanding maintenance. I can suggest the appropriate program for oyu if you wish) All sales are final, no returns under any circumstances except for workmanship (which will not be an issue)... If you provide us with a bad ECU that is not our problem... If you dont feel this did anything please do not email me saying you dont like it... Your knock sensors are probably bad and that is not our problem..... YOU WILL NOT FEEL ANY DIFFERENCE IF YOUR KNOCK SENSORS ARE BAD! THIS GROUP BUY WILL END ON FRIDAY, DEC 16 as I will be sending the payment to Robert first thing on saturday.. Once you have paid and recieved confirmation from me (I will email you) you can send out your ECU if that is what you are doing... You dont have to wait until the buy is over... if you have any quesitons, call me at 765-621-8336 or email me BEFORE PAYING me... Anytime we issue refunds or things like that paypal takes money, so please lets try and get this right the first time..... ALSO.... In about 4 weeks we will be offering the 94 ECU's reprogrammed for about $50 more as well as switchable maps for about an extra $50 as well.. These are still being prototyped...

My paypal is loading. You mentioned in the original thread that you may donate some of the profits (if any) to NICOclub.com. I for one really appreciate having this resource, as well as all the work you and Robert have put into this. Would you be averse to me sending a few extra bucks to add to that donation, or would you rather I do it directly? I figure it would cut down on paypal fees if those of us that want to chip in did it through you and this group buy.

Also, the following was mentioned in the original thread:
DrewQ45 wrote:I also have a few names for the ECU... "Golden Tech ECU" or "Wess Tech ECU"... all you need are some stickers now.
So, any cool name or stickers? At a minimum it's gotta have at least a NICOclub sticker on it, right? Thanks

The ECU will come complete with a NICO sticker and whatever robert puts on them...

You can send some extra money if you want, but you can also donate right to the club if you want.... It doesnt make any difference to me, it will get to where its supposed to be regardless......

Will the switchable maps be able to be added on later in time? I wont be running nitrous or 100 octane for quite a while. If I can add it on later. I'll pay pal right now.

Wes... this is definately on my list of projects. But, I think I am going to blow my budget on the z32 brake upgrade. The, I plan to do the under-plenum, injectors, and knock sensors.

How often are you planning to come back to offer the ECU? Will I still be able to take advantage of this offer in a couple of months?

So, by inference, Robert can reprogram the 1995 ECM also?

Shannon, yeah thats me. I forgot about the username . By the way I don't think I need that "down time" ECU. You can let someone else use it that needs it.

Wes, when you get a chance could you list the ECU model numbers that will work with a 1995 Q with TCS . Is there a difference between the 1995 and the 1994 versions?

Wes, So are the 90-93 ECU's w/ TCS the only option at this time on my 1995 with TCS or can I get my current ECU reprogramed if I wait another 4 weeks?

If I get one now, how would I handle the core or do you have a price without a core? I could send you a 1995 ECU with TCS and a 1993 ECU non-TCS core(previously reprogramed by aaacomp) in exchange for your 90-93 ECU with TCS if interested? That would save me having to hunt down a 90-93 ECU w/ TCS. Do you guarantee the the 90-93 ECU w/TCS will work properly on a 1995? I thought the 94-96 Q's had a different TCS.

I cant guarntee 100% that it *will* work but if I had to bet, i think it will.. Really the ECU doesnt control the TCS system much, rather it gives certain inputs to the TCS control unit (in hte trunk)..... I have no reason to believe why it wont work flawlessly, but again, i cannot say that it WILL work because I have not done it... If I put my money on it, id say it will work...

9093 and 94-96 TCS parts are interchangeable... I sold my TCS actuator from my odl Q to a guy with a 91, and rob put one in his 95 from a 92...

As long as you return a core ECU, i dont think it will be an issue, we are going to reprogram 94 ECUs eventually... let me check with robert.

Wes, I am sending you the $105.00 to get in on the group buy deal.

As you know, I have 2 1994 Q's, one with brand new knock sensors, and one with questionable knock sensors. I am not sure about the timing, but will check before I install the reprogrammed ECU.

I am currently buying an ECU from Midnightsliding, to send to you. Do not send me a reprogrammed ECU, until you receive this ECU. This is a 90-93 ECU, so it should be fine. I will have him ship it direct to you or Robert, or wherever.

I want to keep my original ECU's, so that is why I am doing it this way.

I know this is a little different, but I hope you are OK with it.

Jeff

The compatibility between 90-93 and 94-95 TCS ECUs hasn't been established yet.

All but two of my donor ECUs are 90-93, so I just don't have as much data.

If you want to check it out before you commit, I can send you a 90-93 TCS ECU as a tester. Plug it in, run it and see what happens. If it works, you're good. If not, send it back.

Robert,

Great. I just paypaled Wes the $155. Please send the reprogrammed ECU with TCS to me ASAP. Could you program it for a 7200 RPM cutout and to maximize 93 octane. I am at 5200 feet altitude so knocking is less likely. I should know within a few days if it works as there is plenty of snow on the ground right now to test the TCS. I'll return my core 1993 ECU and I'll also donate my 1995 ECU to the project. Thanks again for doing this. Hope you get good response to compensate for your time.

I'll be waiting for the 94 program to come out, I will send you my ECU so you can program it with 2 diff programs.

Don't count me out of this deal, I am DEFF in but for the 94 program with TCS.

Yes, but that's both of my TCS cores, and we don't know for SURE that the early TCS ECU will work with the later TCS controller.
