I think I had a double post from having multiple NICO browsers up.....fixed it now.

So nobody is from Raleigh then?

1) that depends on what **** you got.2) I don't think anyone knows quite yet (or probably will, since I don't think too many ca guys run those name brand ones), but I can't imagine the difference would be too huge. Buy both and get some thermocouples and find out...

if you use the ebay form to ask them a question you will not get a respone, as far as I can tell. I asked "dee" or whatever to combine shipping and by the time she got back to me I'd already gotted my manifold.

I sent my emails to Tammie ([email protected]) and I got quick responses. I sent the money to them through Paypal and received the FMIC in like 4-5 days.

why isn't anyone else bidding on this kit on ebay?

is it because by emailing dee at ssautochrom you can get it cheaper than $295?

Also how much did you have to send deedee in total for the kit?

I just followed what rchboy did.... I emailed them and paid $250 + $40 shipping + $4.88 insurance. So $294.88 total.

I don't think there were THAT many people with CA18dets that needed intercoolers and wanted a kit... I mean they were throwing those things up there like candy, I'm sure they sold 20 or more of them by now. Only so much of a market for such a thing in the states.

I am curious to know how these match up agains the johnnyracecar fmics (6in) or similar... It just seems way too large for only like 200 to 250whp

Johnny Racecar 8" vs SSA

Johnny Racecar = tube/fin SSA = bar/plate

Johnny Racecar = 2.75" thickSSA = 3" thick

Johnny Racecar = $215 (price increase coming up this week)SSA = $294 shipped with all the piping.

I imagine the little 6" will heat soak pretty quickly.

on mine i can't even touch the hot side, and the cold side is COLD no heat ,then if you touch the fins on the core where the hot side comes in its just barely warm and where the cold side exits COLD, very minimal heat soak for me, at least so far
