Could be starving the fuel rail...850's suck a rail dry pretty quick, no matter what the pressure is or how much volume a pump is capable of. We trashed a RB26 do to fuel rail issues, but we were into the 600's when we did it. Just a thought...fuel rails are fairly inexpensive.

Just to piggy back on F150. The Bosch pump might be reaching its limits. I'm very familiar with the fuel cann. We use them for road courses and such in Japan to prevent fuel pump cavitation. But this isn't going to help your second inline pump. Most of the high hp RB's I've seen run twins or a big single. I like the Barry Grant myself.

Well guys, you may have a point there. I'll look into getting a secound pump. Maybe entering the fuel rail by the other end and exiting by the middle, like greddy fuel rail.

What was the original clutch (brand/model) that was slipping Fito?

The first clutch was the factory one (it holds to about 300 WHP) the secound was a SPEC stage 3 , but to be fair, we did not chim it so it held up to around 400 WHP. Chim'd it should hold the 500 WHP and the one on it now it's a EXEDY dual disk. It feel's like it holds anything!

how does the exedy feel in normal driving? is it tolerable?

[i drive trucks, so my tolerability threshold is extremely high]

honestly it's NOT for everyday driving. It's even harder than ACT Extreme plate. It's really a race car cluth.

see, and ACT extreme pressure plate and street disk is ideal for me. an international DT466 clutch is even heavier and quicker.

I Would recomend to try and test someone else car with this clutch before getting it. IT'S HARD!

yeah. since its gonna be a street car only seeing max power for short blasts, its would make more sense for me to use a single clutch instead of spending the 1500 or so for the twin plate/flywheel combo jobs.

at max power, i dont anticipate wanting to exceed 500 whp.

500whp is just an insane amount of power out of a lightweight frame like a 240. I use to think I wanted that kind of power until I thought about how much power that really is. 300-350rwhp is plenty :D

a 3600 lb J30 weighs a little more than a 240.

that 500whp is for short blasts at 20-22 psi, like 10-15 seconds or so.

ive driven cars with 500+ whp before.

the best part is when you cant lift your head off of the seatback.

one time i was driving my friends 89 mustang w/ 94 ford lightining 351 motor and a vortech pushing 10 psi. thing makes 530 whp.

that thing makes enough torque to spin 11" slicks all through 3rd gear and some of 4th.

its 530 whp, but makes like 650 lb/ft at the wheels. thats what suckes about a 5k rpm redline.

Ford Lightnings weigh close to 4k don't they?

I know my 96' Chevy 4x4 weighs like 4400 or a little more.

its a lightning motor/vortech blower in an 89 mustang notchback.

its fine. that cars an animal, it just makes too much torque.

thats why i love turbos, you can you can tone down the power for normal driving without having to pull a wide *** belt and swap pullies.

anyway, back to the subject [sort of], i cant find any info on the flow rating of the J's fuel pump.

i want to do a swirl tank setup when the time comes, but if the pump cant support 200 lph at 0 psi, i would like to do the in tank pump.

and if im going to do the in tank pump, ill just rewire, toss in a bosch 044, and run a larger fuel line.

hey Fito... if you have any free time, could you please IM me at AiyaLiLew or email me at [email protected]? Because I'm in the process of doing a Neo RB25DET swap myself and am having a hard time finding resources and info on it... I'm swapping mine into an 89 240sx... If you could contact me that would be great

Well, guys it's been a hell of a few months. Fist I screwed a piston becouse I used pump gas on a VP fuel map! then, after rebuilding everything, I blow up the BLOCK, yes the BLOCK. car all the guages were saying it was rich and we kept leaning the mixture. Until we found out the problem was a lose ignition cable that keept misfiring the ignition at high RPM. So we fixed and whent to the street to find out if it was fixed for good.

We stand at this traffic light with Slick tires and everything, suddenly this motorcycle get's on our side and ask's"(That thing run's?? )ja,ja The light turns green, I dumped the clutch and ran 1,2and 3 in front of the motorcycle but the engine shuts down on the next traffic ligth, ho ***** I think... we furgot to make the mix richer...and YES the BLock cracked at pistons 2 and 3

My friend gave a block he had and with pistons and rods for some greddy parts that he needed for his engine. So the car is up and running again, and I had it painted 350z blue. This saturday we are going to the local track for a competition, I'll take pictures and video for you guys. Anyways Iám taking the car tommorrow to the dyno, to check that all 587 horses are still there.
