- ALL s13's have seatbelt recalls (as far as i know, 89-91 do) - in accidents the plastic buckles break causing the belts to fail.

Free repairs at ALL nissan dealerships.

- Canadian s13's come with clear daytime running lights where american's come with plastic mesh inserts.

- Canadian s13's come with HICAS and american s13's have the option for HICAS i believe? Or maybe all they come without? I'm not sure of this.

Fact: The altima DOES NOT HAVE A KA ... it has a KS24DE
Fact: it is indeed a KA24DE in the 1st and 2nd gen Altimas. The cams swap into a 240SX KA24DE. The new Altima has a QR25DE with VQ35DE optional.

Fact: it was an option there just like here.. only on the '91-'93 SE.

When the rear brakes are starting to go bad you'll hear a clunking sound when you reverse.

:yesnod

atleast it's been true on both the 240's I've owned :)

Only sometimes.

When the rear brakes go bad on rear disc brake 240s, the rear calipers will stick and lock up and will be very hard to get the car to move if you get it to move at all. Happened to me a few weeks ago in the middle of the road and i didnt know the brakes were bad, never made any noise. Get your brakes changed shortly after half way worn. Mine werent even worn all the way down, yet the caliper still locked down on the rotor. It was hell to remove. When the brakes cool the car will move for a few minutes until the calipers heat up again. This might only be true for ABS cars. Mine has ABS and came standard with the LSD. This might make a difference.

Fact: If you own a 240, everyone tells you about the sr20 as if you had never heard of it 50 times before.

As far as I know, the 240 is the only Japanese sport coupe of it's time sold in North America that had RWD. Keep in mind that I said sport coupe not sports car . To clarify: 240-sport coupe, 300-sports car. Celica-sport coupe, Supra-sports car...you get it by now.

Fact: My 240 likes to hit the rev limiter in 5th

Also I don't know if its fact but I read somewhere that one reason we got the KA is because it is the beleif that Americans like low end torque....like we hate overall more hp and torque, and high revving....GEEZ!

Actually i believe the US got the KA because of the Z. If the US had gotten a 205 HP RWD sports coupe for less that $25,000, the Z would have tanked big time. Turbo Z sales werent all that great at the time, so to bring in a car that could hang with a NA Z car at close to 2/3 the price, that wouldve killd it.

What about the FC rx7? Surely you can't classify those as a sports car - seeing as the NA's only have a 1.3 and 150 (?) hp. :)

Also, canada has a GREAT army... we don't recieve any recognition because the US military is twice the size and has twice the funding. Actually, for our population Canada has one of the strongest armies in the world.
