GOOD NEWS!!!!! A-KON was this weekend. i must say, things turned out badass! The costume looked great and i got some really cool responses. most were good, but i did get the "wow, a cardboard box, thats creative" which i should have responded "hey, sorry im not dressed like Inuyasha, fanboy". i also got the "excuse me, your suit isnt even done. you could have at least painted your gundam" my response "its not a gundam, and it was supposed to be a joke, not a serious costume." the look i got from them was great. i also got to talk to some really cool guys about the suit. they gave me some awesome pointers and complements. they were telling me that i should do some more work and bring it back to show off. they said that will a little paint and some minor details, it could win some stuff. they were really amazed at the work i did and that it only took a week or so. anywho, i'll have pics soon. my friend pat has them on his laptop so when my buddy greg gets them from pat, i'll get them and post them.

that's not really massive, it's about average really, but watch out for the paper cuts anyway.

it was actually pretty large. it just looks smaller in the pic cause its covered somewhat. the day we left someone in a megazord costume showed up. his was ok cause it was painted, but it just didnt have the same finese my costume did. that being said, expect another thread like this about a year from now. im going to 10 up myself and do an even better costume. it will actually be from a series and be painted.

Damn! Now thats funny. I remember watching a show on TV about cosplay or what ever its called. There were some really nice costumes. Some examples are Paine, Rikku, and Yuna from FFX2, an Optimus Prime, a bunch of Inuyashas(only 2 good ones), and Ed from Bebop. There were many other good ones, but I cant remember them all. The bad costumes definately outnumber the good though.

very true. there were a dozen or so Inuyashas there, like 6-7 Eds, a TON of Rikkus and stuff from X2, BILLIONs of Naruto characters, and of course the furries. oh and C-Hobbits had a surprisingly good turn out. and again, its sad when these people who look nothing like the character they're trying to be dress in skimpy, tight, or costumes where they're supposed to be muscular. I cant wait though till i show 'em up in my next suit.

LOL! I can only imagine the turnout for the Naruto series. Its so popular now. I wish there was a 6ft. black anime character that looked like me. I gets no play when it comes to this stuff.

It's the ED episode. You know where she goes to find food with ein. Basically this guy killed the guy with the caskets brother. Now he was draging the casket around to put the mushroom man in it when he killed him. Hell you could even do the mushroom guy at a con. The name of the episode is Mushroom Samba.
