So, It's hard enough deciding on what styling of kit to go with, and to make matters even worse, not knowing if I can actually achieve the look I potentially want and still be able to drive my car makes the decisions even harder.

So, I'd like everyone who daily drives their car (and has a kit of course) to post up.

and PLEASE SHARE WHAT KIT you have, whether it's a complete kit, or you have pieced it together (uras front bumper, origin sides and rear, whatever is out there).

also; don't be afriad to tell us your wheel and camber specs. anything helps make a decision.

this will help me out a lot, and it should help a lot of folks looking to see just what kinds of kits they can run form a practicality standpoint.

as far as I know there isn't a thread like this, and it has potential to be really great!

post up Ballers!!!

I don't really think an OEM factory body parts are really considered a "body kit". That being said, OEM urethane parts are way better than fiberglass for daily driving.

true but not all kits are fiberglass, when i go lower i still run the risk of messing up my aero (especially when i get the front lip) and my aero cost way more then most fiberglass kits

It's OEM it will just bend and get scratched. Your exhaust will probably get messed up long before your bumpers do.

This is from my daily driver. I dont recommend putting a lot of money into a kit for a daily because its bound to get chipped/ scratched.

Btw, this is molded fiberglass, type x. I also dont recommend molding. Sadly, I bought it already like this w/ stock susp.

well, this thread failed pretty badly for it's first day.

i was thinking more along the lines of aftermarket aero kits like BN, origin, vertex, etc. with 17-18 inch wheels.

i know that running a moderate or OEM kit is very easy to do daily.

I'm talking about people who ride LOW with a "drift style" (lol) kit.

Yeah I daily my car. Gets kind of annoying but oh well. each corner I can just slip my foot under it and thats about it. The front of the side skirts sit stupid low due to 17s

^^ word!!!

that's a blister kit all around isn't it? for some reason I can only picture myself rolling 17's max.

the reason huge aero is a turn off to me mostly is because you can't really be that slammed. sure, the kit is close to the ground, but as far as the car itself being super low it's almost at stock ride height sometimes it seems.

but more power to you. how are speedbumps? i just am scared that i will spend all this money on a kit and the first speedbump i go over my skirts will high center and crack in half! lol.

do share your experiences.

hahahahah oh god!!! i can't even imagine the driveway!

plus, my driveway is a rounded curb style.... the f*cking worst kind imaginable. i think i'd have to just park it on the street.... ugh.

keep em coming!!!

Well, most "drift style" kits are for show queens, while real world drift sluts use either modest or stock body work. What exactly do you want? Anyways, more than body kit, it has to do with how much you lower your car. I have a Uras N+ bumper on my hatch (which is fiberglass) and its no problem at all because my car isnt super low.

^^ yeah.... exactly. lol.

i thought I made it pretty clear. I want to see baller a** kits on LOW cars that are daily driven.

this will help me decide if I can pull it off or not, and what kits suit my eye the best.

it's amazing that with ALL the 240s out there by now, a simple google image search for "this kit or that kit on an s13" bring up only stock manufacturer photos.

I'm looking to see REAL cars that are actually driven quite often, and what kits they run, and how they manage to pull it off.

so, let's please continue!!! like i said, this thread could be useful for many people if it continues correctly!

well, my car is going to be a drift car and It will see track time no doubt. so i don't really care all that much. i just want it to look good and not crack instantly from a speed bump. im sure I can deal with poor fitment initially.

but ultimately I will buy whatever is cheapest, providing it's not complete garbage.

Ok so im not from california or florida or where ever all the hip car people seem to emanate from, but I have been in the 240sx scene for a long time. I went to the first ever east coast drift event, I've lived in japan for a year, and have owned a 240sx since I was 16. If its S13, ive seen it. I'm simply recounting my real world observations, regardless of what is posted on forums. Your asking for 2 different things that are hard to reconcile with a street car. If you have a super low car with a fiberglass kit that is an inch off the ground, its probably going to get f***ed up, regardless of where you live in the states, end of story. But by all means, please start this project. I cant wait to see a spotless, daily driven track drifter with cheap aero parts that arnt fiberglass and dont crack, and has a one inch ride height. There is a first time for everything.

EDIT: all im saying is that if you want your car to remain decent looking (all matching body pannels, etc) despite the hell you intend to put it through without spending a bunch of money, you might want to reconcider your choices. Some people like the beat-drifter look, I certainly dont mind.
