If your bumper isn't atleast 4 inches off the ground. Then you'll eventually scrape and crack it, if you daily drive it. That's why you don't see too many clean kitted out and slammed cars driving around. People find out it's just not practical for dd.

soooo tight I had to quote it.

while were on this topic I was learning about how to make urethane aero and parts from these youtube vids...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOOdNyJjhD8

any bumper can be copied and made into urethan this way...

I will not apologize for my first comment. I was under the impression we were talking kitting cars so they dont end up looking like a** (missing bumpers/unpainted parts/massive cracking/etc). Re-read the first post, he says right in there, "from a practicality standpoint" Even the cars you guys posted ended up having f***ed up bumpers, which I thought we were trying to avoid. I realize my first statment made it sound like I was telling how it is for all s13's, but that was not my intention.
Matej wrote:Sir, please stop trying to talk people out of having cool cars.

Fact is, when you have a low car, especially with aero, you will be the safest driver on the road. You will have every bump on your usual routes memorized, and you will drive the speed limit, constantly scanning the road with your eyes and paying close attention to everything around you.

Both these cars used to be daily drivers, at those ride heights and with aero.Modified by Matej at 7:42 PM 5/6/2009
I'm doing nothing of the sort. I actually LOVE slammed s13's. If you want to put the money into it, you've got my full support. I find it ironic that you are suggesting driving around like a wimp to protect bodywork then destroying it at the track.

Driving safe makes someone a wimp?

And I do not care for track driving at all. I am perfectly content with destroying my aero on the street. If it happens, it happens. The reason why I am a wimp is because of my oil pan.

ditto. get a skid plate and at least it might have a less likely chance of hanging up on something and tearing off.

I said 10-15cm dont get confused with the inches:p i used to have it lower with the original bodykit but its not worth it for daily driving!

You do know cm is smaller then inches. RIGHT? Looks like the bottom of your kit is like a foot from the ground to me. That is 12 inches fyi.

PJ, Tacoma has cobble stone roads, and they blow. I've never driven anywhere but WA, OR, CA, NV, and NY but I gotta say out of all of em, CA and WA have got to be the worst. NY is really terrible in the city, but that should be a given. s*** in SF, I have hit bumps in my DD (not 240) and caught air. If I had been in my 240 I would have lost a bumper, and prolly knocked my core support up a foot or so along with my car.

OP, why not just try a kit from a non DD'd car. I? mean no matter what you get, if its not plastic or a select few uerethanes,. its gonna get chipped, scratched or damaged. So just go with what looks the best? Maybe I missed the part where you said why it had to be already on a DD'd car

It's only 4"....so approx. the size of your d!ck

There is some wheel well gap, i say go for some 18's and then drop it back down to about 4" and your car will be sick!

I was changing lanes, but I didn't do so fast enough and I hit one of these.

Sadly it broke my bumper pretty bad, so I had to pull it off so I could drive it to D1.

In CA your head light has to be I believe 22 inches from the ground? Or if the bottom of your body goes passed your rim its illegal.
