do you also have other TB options? cause 400 is a lot to dump on just that. i don't need billet if there is anther good 80mm that would fit. 80mm is 80mm as long as it's straight through.

float - reduced lag on larger turbos is more evident as their isn't much lag at all with the small std turbo.

volume is considerably larger than std.

solidstates15 - there is a other 80mm option off the q45. i have seen them for sale in classifieds on this forum for approx $US80-100 and you get to keep the std tps.

tyrannix - who needs a hachi anyway (btw what are they ??)

AE86 ... in japanese, you make a multiple digit number by just saying the smaller numbers

like 45 would be said as "four-five"

the japanese, when talking about cars that are referenced by the first few characters of its chasis code, AE86 is an "eight-six" eight is "hatchi", six is "roku" (five is "go")so an AE86 trueno, levin, or corolla is called an hatchi-rokuan AE85 is called a hatchi-go

just hatchi refers to either

a silvia is called an "s ich-san" (s13) one is ich, three is sanfunny thing tho, they call a 180sx a "one-eighty"... and a sil80, they say "sil-eighty"

thats why they call an S15 front on any other car a "strawberry face" because japanese for 15 is "one-five" "ichi-go" and that also means strawberry

not being japanese myself, its just out of habit what i call cars... its what i learned them as (i wasnt really into cars that much before i went to japan...... when driving fast, i feel most comfortable looking at KPH and shifting with my left hand now... muscle memory)

It's cool sounding in Japanese but when I watch Initial d and they say eight-six and three-two etc in English it sounds stupid.

in Nihongese (f-ed up Japanese spoken by guys like me who suck at it)we call em Hachi-broku and Cucoo. Not sure if that's for the car or the crazy drivers. I always wanted one of those but they were too expensive back then and I am too deep into Skylines to learn a new car at this point.

yes that would be better. i see that the Q45 TB is actually a 90mm though, and very cheap on ebay. the thing is the TB that you are using has a round flange, and so does the plenum flange, but the Q45 is square. would you be able to make the manifold with a square flange to fit it better so it doesn't look weird?

square or round flange, neither look weird ar all. you dont really notice the flange once it has a tb on it.

beware with false advertising, all q45 tb's have an internal diameter (ID) of 80mm.

i have always continued to make them i have just been busy with development of others.

i have also since bought my own flow bench so testing with be more in depth and results even more consistent.

around 2 bar. as for the turbo i am not sure. i will not take credit for the full 100hp, but i would think around half, if not a little more, would be down to the plenum only

The loss in power in the low end is far outweighed by the gain in the top end. What's really nice about it is that it seems that that midrange was basically uneffected.

I wonder if a smaller turbo like GT28R would have less loss in the low end when using this IM.
