you cant chrome aluminum b/c chrome doesnt adhere well to aluminum so in order to chrome aluminum you actually plate the aluminum with nickel first than plate with chrome b/c nickel and chrome go together very well and nickel and aluminum bond extremly well.

ok, here are the links from SXOC, but it's only 1 guy's test, and the plenum had to be modded so that broke the design integrity. so we still need new design specs, pics, and results posted.

How will this work for us FWD CA users? Considering the TB's are mounted on the opposite side. It's not like we could flip the intake over and bolt it on, is it?

Have one custom made for yourself! There's not enough demand for this part in FWD.

the minor faults with the intial design for the uk cars has since been fixed. design integreity was not harmed in any way and you will notice they were just minor fitment issues.

i am just about to get the new style welded up, looks 100000 times better with less welds and the main part is now pressed with a sexy little logo.

website is not up soon and unfortunately will not be until i get some stock together for photos/display, which i am actually working on as we speak. been to busy trying to fill everyones orders.

i actually have another one going to uk in a week or so with a 80mm billet tb, i will have photos up as soon as its ready.

i can make them for fwd, that is not a problem.

thanks for the update, and let us know as soon as you get flow results from the new design. i'd also like to see real dyno results with before and after.

no worries, new results available hopefully by the end of the week or early next week.

i dont use a head to test, it is the inlet manifold itself with and without throttle body.

Ok, new to this intake item. Not knowing too much about them yet, what are the pros and cons between the stock and CPC design? With the CPC design, what will be missing as opposed to stock?

pros - overall more flow than standard and more ven flow than standard beng the more important. whic in turn equals more/power/torque.

cons - usually requires minor mods to ic piping and vacuum fittings. do lose at aac valve, not that it has much effect on cars all round performance.

ever thought of, or got an order for one with 44mm throttle bodies??

i have been pondering making one using GSX-R 1000 ported 42mm TB's as they are cheap on ebay...

also been looking at using GTR ITB's as i think in japan they use them on NA CA's, so i think they bolt right up..

i really got to go dig up in my buddies RB spares room and see what bolts up where..

hmm. how much for the pleum without the TB or head ports/flange??

yeah i have seen those and http://www.jenvey.co.uk

but they cost about 10 times as much as the GSXR ITB's...

they are much sexier though...

i will eb buy velocity stacks similar to those though... either ebay or from TWM or Jenvey

plenum costs $AU750 + delivery with $800 + delivery with the original runners. Throttle body is never included in the price.

Price is $800 + delivery for anyone unless you buy in bulk/group buy and we can certainly do it cheaper. The more plenums you buy the cheaper it gets.

Flow have increased again with an even smaller variance between runners.

This is the final version so be rest assured they will work even on a mild setup where the increased torque available has been described as surprising considering the cars small mods fmic and 3" exhaust.

I can guarantee no-one will ever need to replace this one of these with any other style plenum as it will never become a restriction , unless you are making over 800hp!!!!

Price is a definate $800 + postage and the throttle bodies are $400.

Will consider bulk buy if there is at least 3 interested people.

Thanks all for the interest and support from day one.

yeah i was thinking the same thing. should be loosing torque due to the much shorter runners.

i would forget everything you have read about short and long runners as i have proved them wrong on several occassions.

these will increase both outright power and torque. increase in torque on my old rb30 with short runners was over 20% !!!!!

P.S. Forgot to mention the addition of my logo engraved on the plenum is free if you would like it.

was there any increase in lag regarding the turbo? I wouldn't think so, but I thought I'd ask. Also, how does the manifold volume compare to stock?
