after a couple weeks wait, i got my coupe last saturday from a friend of mine. towed it on a UHaul dolly from virginia.

paid 300 for the car, and around 450 for gas and the dolly.

heres some pictures.

bit of rust, not sure how im gonna go about fixing this. i wish the previous owners did something about it to keep it from peeling like that.

rear end, already put my tail light trim from the black coupe on it. (didnt like the "240S" on the back)

its an SE, already converted the pass. door back to all manual.

pass side power mirror, ill be selling a bunch of stuff off of this car, and whatevers left from my black coupe after im done swapping what i want to.

thrashed interior, imo. compared to my black one, especially. ill be swapping front and rear seats, my dash with glvoe box, analog gauge cluster and trim, steering wheel, center console and shifter trim, knob, door panels to suit the power-to-manual swaps. and the carpet of course.

fairly new B&M, basically bought the shifter and paid another 100 bucks for the rest of the car with it. i need to cut that ish down though, anyone know the thread dimensions for the shifter knob so i can pick up a die?

HUD, getting rid of it. along with dash. etc etc

fairly clean engine bay. junkin' that motor though, its got a hole in the block. #3 cylinder threw a rod. re-using all the stock intake piping/exhaust when i swap my motor.

the only other rust on the car i know about. probably gonna grind it out.

over a median and took out a sign. luckily the passenger fender from my black coupe is fine, so itll be rockin' a black fender. and of course the black pignose bumper/lip

super sweet blinkers. probably gonna get sold.

im gonna swap as much interior stuff as i can for the time being, just gotta figure out how to get the last part of my carpet out of my black coupe. then strip the red one and put my stuff in it.

then, i gotta take the rear brakes and gas tank out of the black coupe and start Deli-slicing the chassis from the tail end up to the front clip.

someone give me some ideas how i can move the front clip as far back into the garage as possible so i can pull the motor and put it on an engine stand.

forged bottom end, bearings, ARP main studs, oil pan gasket and freeze plugs to solve the previous problems with the motor, and another Cometic HG. still contemplating the intake manifold spacer/insulator/gasket. showed some improvement during testing on an integra or somethin', maybe its a good idea.

oh, and im gonna be going five lug on this one. gonna pick up the Ichiba conversion hubs with new bearings, S14 SE rotors, and some sick wheels.

still trying to decide between Work Emotion XD9's and the CR Kais. and not sure if i should go 17 or 18. itll be a sick stance either way.

lemmie know if anyones needing some part(s) i might have. ill be paypal active rather soon.

chyea, my hands are full. itll all go pretty smoothly though.

after i swap interiors, itll look sweet inside. then i just need to figure out the front clip situation, pull the motor and start rebuilding that guy. then pull the motor from the new one, swap mine in.

i should be ordering wheels first, since itll take a few months to get here i think its better that way.

-order wheels/valve stems/lugs-order ichiba hubs and the rotors

-pistons-rods-main studs, cometic HG, oil pan gasket, freeze plugs and bearings.

each dash implies a paycheck. luckily i have zero bills and dont have to buy gas

and yeah, i really like the Kais, but i dunno. i like the lip of the xd9. ive got pictures of the kais and xd9s, 17s and 18s, on s13s. but i still cant make a final decision.

not really sure, dont really care.

there is a write up somewhere on here about a simple fix, since it tends to be the same problem that makes them stop working.

Ghost, how soon do you need them? remember, i still need to get my paypal stuff verified and getting used to shipping pricing and whatnot.

Just go down to your local UPS store, bring the things you want to ship, tell the clerk the zip code of the place you are going to ship it to, and they will weigh and measure the item and tell you the price.

simplicity is the key, i dont like extra wires/motors and crap for my windows locks and mirrors. i dont like 'em. and i just prefer a speedometer that moves accurately with the accel and decel. i dont like the digital displays that jump 2 or 3 mph as you speed up. thats wack.

Doppl, what plastic cluster guard? like the clear shield that clips over the gauge cluster?

kevin, you gotta give me time to make money to buy parts, haha. itll take some time. see whats up with some blinkers and that running light, if youve got any junkyards or somethin'

also, forgot to mention that im getting new pineapples for my subframe, probably gonna get my diff welded shut. then swap my subframe and diff into this coupe.

ghost, ill take the stuff to the ups place thursday to get it priced out. ill let you know, shouldnt be too killer.

Ben, itll be black sometime, im sure. just not for months and months. haha

--and i think ive decided on a wheel/tire setup after staring at pictures for the past couple hours.

Good job saving another coupe from crusher. People trash them just because of a broken engine. Unbelieveable.

update time.

pignose bumper is now fitted, not putting the pig lip on til i put my coilovers on it. and im currently filling the holes from the chuki bumper extensions.

a shot of the fender thats replaced from my 90, and the bumper of course.oh, and the blinkers that i got from the trusty Nico classifieds.

placement of the asian-aholic vinyl. i think it looks pretty good. itll be better when i lower it and it has some bad-assitude.

trunk lid, tail light garnish, and bumper all swapped from my 90. and the holes in the lid from the spoiler are currently being filled. soon to be be sanded, primered and painted. turning out rather nicely, i think.

just about all the interior is swapped from my 90. that was a frustrating and very sweaty week. only able to work on it after work, in the blazin' heat of the sun. looks a hundred times better though. still need to put the glove box, kick panels, and the column cover with the courtesy light. then, fini'

(refer to picture in first post) I HAVE FIXED THE RUST! i think it turned out DAMN nicely for my first time doing body work like that. and im very pleased with it.

so thats it for the actual UPDATE stuff.

im gonna be ordering the XD9's this weekend, most likely. if not, ill do it monday or something. cant wait for that, i actually have enough in my bank account

and i already ordered some Silvia window visors, so i cant friggin' wait for those to come in. gonna look fresh-tuh-death.

reply and discuss.

Looking good Aaron. Did you ever figure out how to clear space for an engine stand at the back of the workshop area? Body work looks pretty good in the pics and the interior definitely looks better than the original. Ok, I have to ask- why the window visors? Good job and keep us updated
