This is probably the K.O. blow to McCain's campaign.
We have had a democrat congress for several years, I like the way libs conveniently forget that. Pelosi and Reed have been lubricant to legislation on par with a pile of busted glass but it is all the Republican's fault. Delusion goes well with those shoes Tel.telcoman wrote:

For those that are for less government in our lives and balanced budgets they only have to look at what we've received from the Republicans over the past eight years.
Two is several?themadscientist wrote:We have had a democrat congress for several years,
Well, neither party has had a big enough majority to push bills through. Pelosi and her cronies are indeed guilty of being overly partisan which resulted in getting very little accomplished. Same could be said when the republicans had control. Unfortunately we have had a president for the last 7.5 years who lacked the leadership and negotiating skills to reach across the aisle, which made matters even worse.themadscientist wrote:two is enough to do something, what have they done to help you good citizen? I would remind you that all of those Dems grilling Lehman CEOs have big wads of fanny and freddie kickbacks in their back pockets, in case you were wondering why those CEOs are conspicuously absent from the hot seat. Did Republicans do that? Chris Dodd is about as dirty as they come and he chairs the damned banking committee, hello!
Oh, and don't forget the anointed one, he has his hands in the kitty too but he is going to save everybody, yeah right.

You may not vote democrat but you sure do take their talking points as gospel don't ya?
How so? I may have in the past, Matt helped show me the light... despite being wrong most of the time.themadscientist wrote:You may not vote democrat but you sure do take their talking points as gospel don't ya?

Fixed it for you there Matty.audtatious wrote:IF Obama wins I hope the Dem Party gets the 9 additional seats it needs so that they do not even need the Republican Party to show up on Capitol hill as they will have a Super Majority. I just hope I can financially survive having three of the most socialist-leaning Dems running the whole country (Obama, Pelosi and Reid).
That way we can spend the next 2-4 years saying "We f'ng told you so".
Yeah, I knowAPEXi240 wrote:That's a pretty high price for an "I told you so".
It's the same 'ole "the US is hated" mentality that is spewed without anything to back it up.Cold_Zero wrote:

I find it ironic that a large portion of Western Europe and Canada have gone conservative with their elections and America is on the verge of going liberal. Makes me wonder how Obama can backup the claim that only he can work with Europe to repair our relationships. Blair, Brown, Merkel and Sarkozy have been pretty buddy buddy with us for the past few years. Not that we always agree 100%, but its a marked difference in our relationship from say 4-5 years ago.
So does Zbigniew Brzezinski as he spoke on Morning Joe this morningHashiriyaS14 wrote:I think Powell is right on.Powell rules, always has.

The idea the Democrats spend less than the Republicans is laughable. In theory, they'd spend less than they'd tax, balancing the budget. In actuality, I'm expecting higher taxes and even higher spending.ishkabibble wrote:

Don't want the socialists in power? Kick the loons out of the Republican party so there is at least a viable alternative. People are not inclined to vote for a party which spends more than the Dems (money they don't even have) and wipes their butt with the Constitution.
Do you have any facts that show the Dems spend more than the Republicans? Since 1968, this has not been the case.charlieo wrote:

Also, the idea the Democrats treat the Constitution any better than the Republicans is also laughable. Ron Paul and Bob Barr? Former Republicans. Hell, Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party* (who Paul endorses) is a former Republican.
*Note: the Constitution Party, while on the right track, still has a few kinks to work out before legitimately being for the Constitution.
He is not the president, and I saw nothing wrong there. He screamed, Yeah, with a cowboy voice.themadscientist wrote:The democratic leadership http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5FzCeV0ZFc
