I know it is winter time and we really doin't need it now. I just don't like how they handle situations.

Takes months to get costumers, takes seconds to loose one.

I love how I contacted Vortech to ask about their Superchargers on a G35x and they haven't gotten back to me. Sounds like Cobb

Anyways, the UpRev system allows for 5 custom tunes to be flashed onto your ECU. You can use your cruise control buttons to switch between those tunes (CC stays operational). What I'd like to do is get a daily driver tune, a fuel economy tune, a maximum performance tune, valet tun (rev limiter at 3k), and an anti-theft tune (rev limiter at 1k hehehehe).

The positive side is that you don't have to get the cobb device to swap tunes, it's much faster this way. The other benefit is that the software is already available for custom tuning (I'll check on the HR engine).

The downsides:

Returning it to stock is a little more work than cobb. Gathering all of the data cobb does will require a laptop (I'm completely ok with that).

Hopefully when it comes out if it ever does for the 03 model sedan i can just download the map from there website, cause i already have the accessport device and dongle for my wrx and the maps are free. Alot of people dont like the accessport but i love mine.

Nate that sounds pretty good. I should look into it. No issue here even if it takes a little more time and effort to return it stock. I have a lop top so that's not an issue.

About Votech well I never had to deal with them but sure sounds like they don't ned the business.

It works like a charm with turbo. Only thing I hate is there costumer appriciation is below 0. Sounds like there is a wrong person on the top. Otherwise it sohuld not happen. THey don't realize how much they loosing from people with there I don't care attitude.

OK so I checked it out and it looks pretty good. Suby you should look into it too. It takes off the speed limiter too. Does timing and throttle controll. Does the basic what we need. No the question if they have it for the hr.

I 'll go and look on the website.

I spoke to Richard at UpRev he gave me some insight on your cars (HR engines). First, the good news: The software for tuning the HRs should be out to their "Pro-Tuners" in about a week.

The so-so news: Not all Pro-Tuners will be willing to tune your HR just yet.

More so-so news: The factory tunes are supposedly very good and most of the intake/exhaust is very well optimized for the car as-is. This means that the aftermarket will really have to do significant testing in order to make mods that really improve power. This affects your tuning as well. If the factory tune is already very good and the factory parts are already very good, the only way that a tune will help is if you get extremely well optimized aftermarket parts.

I was told that Cobb won't release the accessport because it LOST power

Anyway, keep checking the UpRev website. You should see some new info on there soon. The "off-the-shelf" tuning packages probably won't show up for another few weeks.

Stock 350Z HR gained about 6 hp in the high RPM range. Nothing really significant, but the owner said that it was smoother and that he could feel it.

So who's going to bite???

I just went to the uprev.com website, and called my local tuner:7405 S 212th StSuite 101Kent WA 98032intecracing.com(253) 872-0872

I spoke to Lawrence. He said the new HR setup should be in his shop end of the week. Ready to start applying them next week, but for sure by the end of the month. As soon as it's ready I'll be doing it.

I might going to get it. I have to ask my dealer to fix my speed limiter. It cuts me off at 130. If they not going to fix it. I might get this one and get a benefit of couple of things.

I wonder if COBB has dropped out of the G35/G37 market by now...
