Yeah, I realized that I wasn't going to get my money back awhile ago. They better just send me my harness, ECU, and MAFS, or I'll have to get all "Punch Drunk Love" on them and suddenly show up at the shop really pissed.

Neishlin sucks and I can vouch for that from personal experience. I had my swap done there and frankly it was a pathetic job. Not only did I get ****ed around over the phone and lied to, I was told twice it was ready for pickup and wasted 600miles round trip in total to drive down there for nothing. Weeks after my car was first dropped off, they finally manage to get everything finished. Or so I thought; there was so many problems with the car it was pathetic. I spent days going over everything and fixing problems which should have never existed (i.e speedometer didn't work, idle was screwed, running very rich, scratches that never existed before, some dings, some kind of liquid that was dropped all over the left fender/hood of my car that is perminately stained, my A/C compressor was completely missing, A/C pulley was dangling not bolted on slowly eating the new P/S belt, I can go on and on) But hey, I got a free screw-driver out of the deal as it was wedged in between my fuel filter - WOOHOO! (sarcasim) anyway, I wouldn't recommend Neishlin if my life depended on it, they suck and that's the bottom line.

Cheez80, I too am debating between Defi Link and A'pex EL2 gauges. Those "everything I have" signatures are a liittle anoying sometimes though, . Imagine if everyone did that. You'd have to go through 3x as many pages on a thread. And people don't really care what you've got THAT much.

Question: how do you tell between the s14 sr20det's? What's newer what's older?

actually friend, that is a picture of me... and as for ugly, i'd like to ask you who are you to judge and to be name calling, is there any way i can meet you in person=)

Another thing, if you didn't know, after all of 3 of us guys were booted from Cartune/Neishlin, all of the pictures of us were taken from public view of the website.

This means that if you were a regular visitor of the website, there was no way you couldve found that picture, unless you WORKED there on the site itself. Come on, i was the orginal web developer there, i know how stuff works

i think you should use your words approporiately, otherwise people may know you are in bed with cartune.

Amazing, because you already know that is a picture of me, so what are you trying to prove? but you have already shown to the public that you, as an representative of Cartune, would go to such low grounds to humiliate yourself with such a rude comment. I have know all along that Cartune workers/owner are looking at this post, along with the one from the MR2 Forums (which most of the prev. customers turned their backs on you guys.), But never did once any of u guys responded, now if this is your first post for the company, this is harlious. all i can say is GREAT job on making you and the company you represent look like an ***. very PROFESSIONAL!

don't hate on my sexy looks=)

One more thing you NEWBIE!!!!

S14 Kouki - ECU harness white, small cluster pinsS14 Zenki - ECU harness blue, bigger cluster pins

and in the front clips, Kouki has a hole in the chass, where zenki has none.

you can only tell my the electrical parts, otherwise its pretty much identical

hope the knowledge i passed on to you made you a smarter person.

lol my bad... ^_~ Pretty funny though. Glad i didn't hear ya getting too crazy.

Well I searched around also and found some info myself, being so small 'n all. I'll just quote what this person said. He's from the fresh alloy and goes by the name rocksco.

"The Zenki 93-96 s14 motors have no fins in the centered rectangle indent on the front of the head.

The Kouki 97-98 motors have fins that run through the whole rectangle indent on the front of the head

The S15 motors fins that go half way down in the rectangle indent.

note. There are fins on all of the S14 heads on the sides, you need to look in the center indent, thats where it matters

You can also tell black top and red top S13 motors apart by the fins tooThe black top 180sx motor has fins in the rectange, the redtop dosent "

Yaye finally. Once again sorry for callin' you names. I know hwo it feels to be ripped off and well... i thought u were the "ugly mofo" that did it. No hard feelings.

Damn. People not showing any respect for Happe who has been helping at least me a bit. People who want to talk smack should just go to another forum. Happe: Do you really think that Cartune is watching this thread? If so, I would just like to tell them: Please, just do me and yourselves a favor and send me my *working* harness and parts. I paid you alot of $ for them a long time ago, and there is no reason my wiring should take a month. If there is a good reason for this, you should tell the customer exactly what is going on. Being lied to does not make people want to come back and recommend you. Now is your chance to prove this thread wrong, but instead everything is just proving it right.

actually this thread is based on what already happened=(if they change, then good for them... if history is just repeating it self then its okay..

yea i know they are reading this thread, in the past when i worked there... anything there was a thread about cartune & its bad work, one of the reps would hurry and make a reply & gain support from the public. usually their defense is lack of evidence of those making the claim. (mostly on the MR2 forums) but since now i am revealing their other side, they can't just jump in the forum and say im lying & i do have creditability=)

another thing i want to get straight is that I myself never had much problems working at cartune, wasn't until the day i left they wanted to use my work to continue making money for them, and i didn't want that. for those who are getting the wrong idea of this message is that this forum is base on what happed to previous customers.

Supposedly my harness is finally in the mail and coming in a few days. They keep forgetting to call me back with a tracking #. They said it came out really clean, and ABS etc. was difficult. No mention of Ken.

Received my harness, ECU, and MAF Friday 7/25. The harness is even cleaner than the one I sent out, and everything (ECU, MAF, Ignitor chip, etc.) is all hooked up to it already. Ken def. did a great job! The ECU doesn't seem to have the diagnostic controls (turning dial) on it though, as there are two holes where they usually would be. I won't be able to install until Sat. but hopefully I can get it running in time for the 240meet the day after.

You know what, thats the ECU I had before hehe.. I thought it was weird it had no dial in it. Might just be how the koukis are:confused: Either way looks like its coming together :ylsuper

Let me know how it turns out

Cartune/Neishlin was fun in it's early stages. We were basically the only one that were able to get a hold of the hard to find clips even before all these little shops started opening. The original purpose of the company was retail sales. Installs were secondary.

The only mistake that I think us as a company made is starting big. In the later months, new smaller shops were opening (these are shops that would actually buy from us as a wholesaler and then resell it at a price lower than us). And in order for us to cover overhead and make a profit, we had to do a lot more installs (actually we ended up doing 600% more installs that we're accustomed too). Along came problems with the installs also. I think we've experienced every single problem there is with both SR20's and 3S-GTE's but we managed to overcome every single one of them too.

I left Cartune 'cause everything was changing within the company. The people, the attitudes, the market, and got I pretty much burnt out. I have tried my best to please our customers but when the company isn't working as a whole, it's very hard for me to implement my ideas and even the quality of my work.

EdwinYep, I co-founded Cartune
