but yeah i have a p/t job which funds my hobby as well as selling parts. i keep the car seperate from reg life and full time job/ income.

My girlfriend only cares because its less time to do promised work on her car. Other than that, it's my money, my time, and my car. She likes how it looks and drives and likes that I have a hobby. She never interferes with my car or objects to how much money I spend on just tail lights.
She actually got a vert because I knew a good about about s13s and if she ever had any trouble, I could work on it.
I think a girl that isn't going to support your hobbies and seriously bash on you for it isn't worth it.

I don't have a girlfriend but i am the girlfriend. I love working on my car and building it up, if it wasn't for my boyfriend i would have never been introduced to the 240s and gotten my S14. I owe alot to him cus he has taught me everything i know and has always pushed me along with my ride. Girls can be b******, i know becuase i am one, but we do like to learn new things. Don't give up on your gf just yet! Instead of making her feel like shes being ignored cus your working on the car give her something to do. Thats what my bf does. And i love working on cars together. Makes it more fun i guess ha.

She has yet to get her hands dirty with a wrench but that will soon change I'm also trying to get her to buy her own 240 which would be SWEET!

I appericate that about my bf too, he puts alot of work into his cars and such. And good luck with geting a 240 for her, i hope she gets one Not alot of girls drive 240's so the more females the better! There aren't alot of girls out there that enjoy working on cars but there are some out there.

My last GF liked the car but I think it was because she was car-less and had to drive it when she needed to go somewhere! My girl before that took up so much of my time I never had any left for the car! Hence she is an ex. And my current lady loves that I have a productive hobby! LOL She grew up around muscle cars and finds the idea of fast imports interesting. She doesn't complain about me working on the car and she will bring me drinks or food when I am out there too long (she has helped me turn a wrench a time or two). She is practical when it comes to her car but doesn't mind me and mine. So she is a keeper (if ya'll think $1,500 is a lot for an engagement ring I won't tell you what I paid for hers)LOL.
