I brought my Dad's Video Camera so I once again have video of some of you guys running but not all of you. I got some video of Saturday morning before everybody was at the track (wet) and before the security guy was at the track. I was standing next to the Carlisle sign at the top of the hill.

I still need to figure out how to split up the video since it was a mini DV (tape) so it's one giant video right now. (42 minutes long, 720x480 res. LOTS OF WIND 2.74 gigs)

that off camber turn with a fwd was not fun. you lucky bastards with rwd i had a good time. rx8 and jim i think the only ones that talked to me the whole time.

yeah i was having issues keeping the tires up to temp... i really would have been better off with my Star specs, but they are so worn i doubt i would have made it home if i ran those... Also try a 'wet' session on r-comps... reminded me of when i go ice racing...

I kinda wish we measured 10ths... would make Jims 56 and my 57 a lot closer.. if i recall there was only about .3 seconds between us

Im already planning for next year.. this is one of my favorite events, the people make it..

Now to Fix my car and get ready for a local autox on the 29th!

Hey! It was really nice meet you guys! I thought you were a really friendly/down-to-earth couple (as a lot of people at the event were). Good job on the course. The RX-8 looked great out there!

I understand the no coasting statement, my question is, why? Are we talking about for racing?

The no coasting explantation is simple. To lower your time.

Why talk about racing? Simple. Besides making you quicker the next time, Autocrossing provides wonderful lessons in car control. Getting comfortable with weight transfer, understeering, oversteering is completely transferrable to real life driving situations. Makes you a safer driver when conditions are bad.

very good explanation Joel. I need to tell this to my wife so I can justify going racing more often. Just like I told her I was I had her in mind because I bought a 4 door family sedan.

Yea, they're pretty good. This collection and the collection in the Carlisle section of the forums are my two favorite photo albums of this past weekend.

LOL I had got the machete to cut zip ties but as soon as I felt. It in my hand all I could think was "kill whitey for what he did to us". It was tough.

Remember how we were talking about how a bunch of my pics were blurry, like the timing or focus was off in the camera? Well, yeah, a lot of the pics were pure garbage. Maybe I just had the shutter open WAY too long and was shivvering too much to get a decent shot though.

I DID get a few of YOU though!




I'll post up some more once I go through them and upload them.
