Is there anything I can put on the exhaust tips to stop the majority of black smoke from coming out? I live in a pretty up tight area, and my neighbours will ***** if they see my car smoking up the whole block. They even complain when I work on my car in my own drive way. They tell my parents thats it not good for the environment (I was flushing rusty water out of my rad and putting it in a bucket)!!!

..... then I filled the bucket up with water and poured it down the sewer

Hey, would I be able to use this Sea Foam product on a SR20DET safely? If I used the same process as with a KA24DE (throttle body, gas tank, brake booster, crankcase) Would it damage the turbo charger and it's components?

why not?

start doing what is in your power to do now and **** what they think.

think for yourself. they'll die long before you anyway and you'll inevitably be in charge of your own life.

240sxin: welcome to the boards. i'd say just use seafoam.

Does the Berryman B-12 Chemtool have the same effect? Thats all i could find at the local pep boys and autozone. Says it cleans petroleum from the gas tank, fuel injector, carb, and crankcase. Is this ok to run through my TB?

Use carb cleaner to clean the throttle body. Don't overspray and allow it to evaporate before you go starting the car.

Anybody on here know of any CANADIAN stores that sell this seafoam stuff? I'd really like to get my hands on some, but Ive tried all the local NAPA auto parts stores and Canadian tire, part source, and even a bunch of marine places.. but so far nothing... any help would be immensely appreciated

dak2007: The brake booster is right behind the brake pedal on the other side of the firewall. It's a big circular black plastic thing with a hose running into it. Can't miss it.

Read the post.... it told you right inside that they will become black and carbon fouled, so yet you do need to.

And yes, although it's easiest to put the Seafoam into a cup and let the engine soak up what's in the cup.

Hey guys, sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but it seems as thought in my 96 i have a front heated O2 sensor and a rear heated O2 sensor, does anyone know which I need to change? Or if I need to change them at all? Also, do I need a special tool to replace them?

gotta ask you a question now... bc it happened to me after i used seafoam. after putting it in the brake booster it fixed my idle problem, made it sit like a rock at 700rpm... even when warming up when its supposed to be like at 1000rpm. this happen to any other seafoam users ?

running this stuff through the booster and fuel should have no effect on the turbo, although as an additive to the oil its questionable that it could effect the lubrication properties of things. i doubt that it will matter that much if you change your oil after a tank of gas, and just dont work the turbo as hard to be safe. i picked up a couple cans of this stuff to run through my car, ill have to see how it goes...
