yea the CA is looking better and better, as far as getting parts anyway, it seems both have amazing potential, and can run high hp numbers simply by beefing up the turbo and fuel consumption, id like to see a CA with the same amount of $$ as an SR to really see the difference in the track, how much hp does a STOCK CA have??

Those are metric horsepower figures which tend to fall a little short of SAE so I chopped off 5 for the heck of it. I also don't know what .7 BAR equates to in pounds. Hey Artistic lisence!:D

it makes 180hp at the fly at 7psi (1bar is 14psi)

This is Nissan CLAIMED horsepower, not a real dyno figure,

check the FAQ's from the first page,

donno man, it better be making well over 200 at 11 psi (providing you have the basics: decent exhaust/fuel delivery)

bone stock of course, a tight motor with a good turbo should do that with the mods you describe.

OH. Well bonestock for me will include what i descrbied heh. Those mods are coming with my CA hands down. the stock fuel/exhaust will choke the CA anything over 7/8psi boost (the KA parts i mean).

i know this is from awhile ago...but it has some great info. the CA still a good gas efficent (thats what im looking for) and rev higher? i also like how its a bit cheaper than the sr. if anyone at a shop or anyone that has installed a CA18det could IM me i would much appreciate it so we could talk and i could get some info for my future swap.

This seems like the best CA vs SR thread out there. I have a question about the materials that the blocks are made out of. As stated, the CA has an iron block. The SR has an aluminum alloy block. Which of the two dissipates heat better?
