Yup, "makodonas":pface

Why do you pound your fist against the wall grasshopper, it will not fall. Sun Tzu said "the battle is won before it begins" and you have not begun to plumb the depths of my engineering depravity.

I am getting ready for a drag race this sunday that has taken a turn for the worst for me(see thread over in the Skyline forum, "Mr Thumper goes to the drags")Tonight I am plumbing a system to spray raw freon onto my intercooler during the run. I come up with wacky crap like that all the time. I'll say this about being poor, it makes you think;)

good lord, raw freon? I dont think that's the most environmentally concious thing you could do ;) Of course, I've dumped my share of freon into the environment...that stuff smells bad if I remember right!

how about taking two straight 8's and making a flat 16 quad turbo? Think it can't happen?

Or mount em side by side on a single bizzare crank.

It's alright Xero. But you do get a constellation prize. TMS will let you sit in his car at his drag race and push the button to spray the freon on the intercooler. But because you lost, you have to jump out of the car right after the run and stick your tounge to the frozen intercooler and let TMS drive around with you stuck to the front of the car till your tounge melts loose. Sound like a deal? heheheh

I hope someone didn't say freon "smelled bad" cause if what I've heard about it is true, one good breath of that stuff and you'll never breathe again.

Hahaha, that would have been me...yeah, when I was like 14 or something my friend and I thought it'd be cool to have a fridge someone was throwing away (I have no idea why we wanted the stupid thing) so we flipped it end over end down the street until we got to his house, right around then the coolent line broke and what I'm assuming was freon (it was really bad smelling and cold...) started spraying all over so we hauled @$$ inside until it stopped :) When we went back out it just smelled really disgusting and felt kinda oily. Maybe it wasnt freon then!

Thats what made me think of the "tounge to the frozen intercooler" comment. I'd like VIDEO of that!

they sell the fittings at any parts store here, i assume its the same way in hi-tech Japan. Im going to buy the R134 retro kit tomorrow, the cans include some special oil for the system.

that's in interesting idea, but I think CO2 will do just fine, since I don't really plan on making THAT much power, my engine'll blow long before my turbo quuits out, or should I say my hypothetical turbo, damnit, a year is too long, grrrrrr...

Another reason to get the CA would be that everything down to the pistons are available at your local nissan dealership from the ca18de (IN THE US!!!) :)
