OH shizz I gots a story ya'll.

I am looking on the NICO classifieds and find a coupe with front end damage, but a heat gun, couple hammers, new core support, silvia front end and good as new.

He lives 3.5 hrs away or so I get down there and he "owns" a car that I have would have to take another 30min drive to get the title from the guy he bought it from. I talked him down from $850obo to $570. Not bad. But also figured #1 cylinder's rings were fried. I drove it and almost made me want it.(Despite it running kinda rickity) right before I left the key started turning in the tumbler and kept the door locked

I got home and not spending money on a coupe I decided I would get a final diagnosis on Zombro.

Got'em back today, it seems he is running on 3 cylinders. low compression in cylinder #1 due to burned intake valve. So I'd need to do a valve job.

So I am not selling him. I am gonna run him on 3 til he craps out. Then Throw a KA24e and hopefully a turbo.

goin KA huh?

i've contemplated many things now... and i've finally come to a conclusion! i'm doing something that isn't done too often if ever so i will have a one of a kind autocross beastmobile!

i'm keeping the Z24 in... but i'm saving up money for a "while i was in there" project

you see... my timing chain tensioner is gonna need to be replaced at some point soon... so since i'll already be tearing things apart to fix that i figured... let's make it a good run

i'll replace the timing tensioner of course... but then there is a laundry list of other things

port and polished KA headcustom cam... with new valves and springs and suchforged rods and pistons for the KA mikuni side draft carbs replace fuel lines, tank and pump to run straight E85and while the engine is out... i think a new clutch will be in order too....the money is still WAY short... but this WILL happen at some point in the future and you all will hear about it! wish me luck

[/threadjack] (sorry bread)

Today at work I was looking for KA24e swaps and ended up buying another 720 with a z24.

Motor rebuilt but trans is wrecked. However It might be the precursor to the pathfinder. Pathmaker? From what I can tell it is a 1984 standard cab 4x4 with a sunroof and cloth interior. It has black plastic fender flares and mud flaps. Sitting on Pacer wheels? Looks better than Zombro's stockers. Under the hood it has a NAPZ 2.4l four banger with A/C condensor!!!! Yay! I hope I wasn't dreaming.

According to the guy who I bought it off of... A Certain amount of 720's were imported and shipped to Arizona. These trucks had the rear of the cab cut out and a cap put on. It has a rear bench. Standard tailgate with lift up glass(missing). I will take pics once I tow it home. Also has a sunroof. Looks alot like the 240sx sunroof maybe slightly wider.

Can't wait to get it home to swap the motor into Zombro.

This may lead to a second thread if I feel like building the other one too.

Good bye money.HellOOOOOOOOO mud.

I got the 720/pathy Towed to my moms yard to wait until I start stripping parts off of it. I think I am gonna do a partout and scrap the rest. IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED After I get the motor and parts I need, It will be up for grabs.

I will post pics after I get home today or tomorrow morning.

I yes I plan on parting after I get what I need. Are manual locking hubs a part of stock wheels? I will look at the manual and get back to you.

I am sure this thing was more comfy before it got used as a work truck.

It has a black interior with fake brushed alu trim. 3speed A/C that I probably won't use because I might have to modify the firewall and I don't car that much, but we'll see.

I had to work all day. Now dinner time with the little lady and then I am gonna go wrench on it. If Anyone wants to name this thing, I am open to suggestions.

Yeah I gotta go outta town today for work. I may get more time on it tomorrow after work.

I am claiming the motor, Front fenders, front bumper, sun visors, rear fender flares with flaps. Um maybe more?

Yeah it does have the gauges, but it still looks like a standard cab. Did they make 720 4x4 in a standard cab?

I know but I don't have the time at the moment. Yesterday I left the house a 6:15am and returned at 9pm. I hope work will settle down a bit soon so I can take off and buld at least my 720 pickup and my 240sx.

Anyone else need any 720 parts?

I haven't really looked yet or sat in them. Side mirrors are good one is missing the plastic that covers the bolts on one side.

I am wrenching on the trucks saturday. I am pretty sure I can get those for you.

I will try to post up pics sunday.

I took off the grill and the outer tabs are intact the center two are snapped off. The grill seemed fairly secure with just the outer tabs though.

I have been so busy at work. Trying to find time to do anything.

Looks like the drivers side fender has some rustola so I think I will just swap over the flare on the drivers side then replace the passenger fender and get to work on sanding and painting the bumper to get my new front end on and have Zombro smiling again.

Next most important issue is starting the new motor and listening to how it runs before swapping it over. So an oil change and filter are in order as well as new gas.

Got a new battery and tried to start it but starter is just hanging there. Smelled fuel so pump works. Just a matter of cranking it over.
