I just got this thing. Works great. I'm gonna mount it in the center console where the side mirror controls are. For the keyboard this program Remote Buddy has an onscreen popup keyboard that i use. I really don't need to use the keyboard much in the car though.

How is the support for Nistune? Are the creators quick to help if you have questions? Are there many people on the nistune forum? You have to be a registered user to use the forum as far as i know so i can't check it out. I got a for my KA and the support for it sucks balls. I'm thinking about getting the nistune software but i don't wanna have more software that i'll be on my own with. Thanks.

Ah a turbo timer I see.

The dock what did you make that out of?

Ah s14 I have only been in one once when I test drove the one I just bought but I wired the money to my dad that jewed the guy down to a below reasonable price, but It's missing the center console for the radio.

P.S. Yes the touch pad did come out very nice. Bet people don't even know its there.

I made the dock out of epoxy. I wrapped the mac mini in plastic wrap and plugged everything in. Then made a little form around all the connectors and filled it with the epoxy. Let it dry and then a little dremel work. The solenoid i use to press the power button on the Mac Mini. The Carnetix P1900 power supply uses a cable that you have to attach to the power button wiring inside the Mini. I wanted to be able to bring the mac in the house whenever i wanted to. The dock works really well. I can pull the computer out in seconds. It's all held together for about a year now so no complaints.

Impressive!!! lol A solenoid, Nice Nice. Really keeping it as stock as you can. One question, how do you power it in your house with the 12v power supply? An AC to DC power inverter?

Sorry for the dumb question.. But why do you have two defroster buttons and two hazard buttons? I can understand using the the buttons from the flasher and defrost buttons to control something else. But then why not use the dummy buttons to control them. so keep it from looking weird?

Yea I guess they kinda do look cool. Its just to bad they don't curve with the dash trim though. It would be cool to take the dummy buttons and make a cool picture on them of what they do just like the defrost wavy arrows and the hazard triangle. Just so that it blends in more rather than having 12 hundred buttons that say the same thing that do different things.

I just use the home power brick that comes with the mac mini. I had to buy an extra one since i had to hack up the one for the car.

I've been meaning to get around to that but haven't done it yet. It does look weird but i can live with it for the time being.

I don't think the dummy buttons fit on the switches either. Can't remember for sure though. I need to get the airbrush out and play around with it. I'm working on getting my innovate wideband lcd installed where the dash light dimmer switch goes. I had to open up the opening a little and i think it will look pretty good. Don't mind the error i had to get a new sensor but all works good now. I used ethernet cables to extend the wiring for the screen. I just need to find a way to make some quick disconnects for the wires to make taking off the dash surround piece easier.

Not sure if it was clear or not but the extra defrost and hazard buttons are the actual switches also. The hazard switch stays on until i press the button again. The defrost is just a momentary switch and it powers the solenoid just long enough to press the power button on the back of the mac mini. Here's a little video of it.

Both vids were pretty nice. Your really doing a lot. And, all in all even though you have two sets of the same buttons it looks really clean.

Keep us posted!

P.S. Sad news I've been very sick and had to miss work(Might loose my job ) so buying blazt maybe put off for sum time now.

Oh thats what I meant, I've actually been looking at the rb30s. What can I say I'm a sucker for NA and displacement.

Oh, and I like the Shop(photo) that'll look real nice when its done. The radio bezel in my s14 is missing, and dads got the car (haven't been back up to see him since he bought it) and I keep telling him I want to make a bezel out of sheet metal (16ga) and he's like "It won't look right, we should spend $80 on some thing that will probably cost another 80 just to be able to put a radio in it." and I'm like, "I want to Fab. some thing, damn it!"

brizanden- Got your post just been busy. Not a bad idea, it's just I'm playing around with starting one out of three businesses(Comp. shop, Machine shop, and a high quality food, meat, and spices strip mall. I'll definetly have all three at some point though(One will pay for another and another, and so on.) I'll die a very rich exausted man that never had the time to have fun with his money.

Basically it is a 3.0 L cast iron 6cyl manufactured by Nissan for the Holden VL Commodore.

wow tht just gave me a new option instead of the rb25. Do you think dropping in one of these with the rb25 head would be the same difficulty as droppin in a rb25. or is it a lot diff from hooking up the 25?
