yeah.... you would think....all my friends i've helped with their motors along the way are busy, tired, or have better things to do...... no more free help from me anymore... case in point, i did a clutch on my buddys S14, i got paid with a genuine Nismo Oil Cap YAY... oh, and a "thanks bro!!" i only did that by myself so i could get Clawhammers car in my carport to start helping him out with the red dragon... i'm the local 240 repair man... usually i don't mind helping, but now, not so much....

so doing all this s*** myself, is kinda pissing me off to say the least...

well i called it a night on the motor works, got burned out for the day, after cranking for 13 hours on it... no one really helped, my boy EZ came by for about an hour, helped me guide the KA out and hauled a**... so pretty much all was done by me today...

here we go, pics and captions....

Good morning!!! the day begins!!stripping the KA down.... truck motors, SHEESH.. seriously, i didn't realize how much crap i pulled off of my 240's that wasn't needed, till i got this bone stock, untouched S14, there's a lot of unneeded crap......pulling the KA, EZ letting it all hang out...it's out!!! need to find a dumpster... (goddamn EZ and his fingers)i think the auto trans was replaced recently, look how clean it is compared to the motor..the pony's hungry NOM NOM NOM NOM!!!!!11!!one!!1

and now on to the SR pull.... (solo pull...)

Lt. SR Danglegot my SR AC bracket fabbed and ready for mounting...KA compressor to SR AC bracket adapter plates on, ready for AC!!!!!!!! (thanks Codyace!)finally got my stainless mani on, it's been laying around for months......and my GReddy GREX oil filter relocation kit... to be mounted on lower frame rail for ease of filter removal while draining the oil, K&N filter FTW...money shot.... custom uber fast spoolin' Pulsar GTIR T28!!

that's pretty much it for today.... tomorrow i install the clutch, and brake pedal in the new S14, as well as mount the FMIC and drill holes for the FMIC piping and the hole for the clutch master..... SR goes in... KA goes in... let's hope i'm not alone.... lol

Updates, as small as they are.... pics and captions...

i'm officially 5spd now!!!gauge werkz.... UGH... always my fav....forgot to post this earlier, a clean bay is a happy bay.... MINT!!!! i love adult owned S14's...full APEXi exhuast and 5spd D shaft are in, wide band's hooked up... car is ready to be dropped!!!what a mess..... taking the driver seat out made life great tho!!! laptops with S14 Sivlia FSM's are a big help....front all put together, FMIC is flipped to the shiny side.... mind the hood, it's not bolted down and sitting on the battery i stuck in there temporarily...Motor is now fully installed.... i got some wiring to redo, mount the driver side of the strut bar, and clean up some stuff... but overall very aesthetically pleasing... (that clutch fan is temporary, until i get my elec fans figured out)

now for the conversation....

motors in, harness is hooked up, starts RIGHT up, YAY! right? wrong..... i guess somehow my No.4 injector took a s***, or it MIGHT be a wiring issue.. i used a test light, and i'm getting power and ground to the clip... but no spark or fuel...

to remedy the problem, i bought a set of DW 600CC injectors, in a SR rail with new O-rings for $2 hundo, and will be using that to cover the injector... thinking back, it might be that I'm getting no spark back there... i'll have to check that out...

600CC'sZ32 MAFNistuneT28 @ 18-19lbs=win

other than that, you can kinda see what's going on with the progress... like always, more to come!!

lol.... you're a goof

well, i got more work done.... fixed an issue i had with the No.4 cyl not firing... left the coil pack harness on when we dropped the motor in, and the lip on the firewall cut it to s***... so i got that situated... wheels are on... fixed an issue with my harness that wasn't allowing me to tuck it right (re taping, pulling the "forks" back to allow a longer stretch to get to where i need to be..)

thats bout it for now...

just got a small list of things to do...

fix oil leak on GREX and oil PSI line (just not tightened down enough, easy!!)run cable for battery relocation (battery's chillin by the cold pipe, YAYZORZ!!)buy/install new coolant temp sensor (it just kinda fell apart... lol)install my VLSD (rocking it open style right now)run the vac lines for the Profec B/2 (ran as if i didn't have one...

lol most people who got a clean s14 like that would leave it alone for a while and enjoy it,you on the other hand immediately start tearing it down. I like your style.looks great

lol... that made me smile! thanks bro! i enjoyed it enough, KA sucks, auto transmission sucks, had to do something about that, FAST...

and to think, i've only just begun...

okay, well i got my new alternator in, and my car is a whole notha amiNAL!!! it idles a hellova lot better at 13.5V than it does at 11.2 and dropping.... i've yet to do a road test to see if it solves my bogging problem, but soon enough....

also, a few of my parts made it in.... my DW 600cc's and my H&R extended studs for the front...

also, i got the consult port for the Nistune board hardwired in, cause the consult port on the driver side wasn't wired into the main engine harness, so i cut the port off the gold car, and extended the wires and soldered it directly to the pins on the board...

i would be on my way with tuning, well, attempting to tune, but my laptop has a crappy battery, and the power adapter just took a dump, ordered a new one, and should be here sometime this week...

well guys, a small update...

got my H&R extended studs on the front, with the 11mm spacers... now i can have my front wheels on with more that 3.5 threads of meat on the lug nuts!!! YAY!!! i also put my 8mm spacers on the rear, i had em laying around, figured I'd bring the back out a little bit, even though they cleared the coils...

H&R extended lugs, with Gorilla Lug Nuts... hopefully i wont need these soon as i'm getting a pair of Z32 Megan front sleeves for my coils that will bring the shock tube in 2in, and then i can remove the spacers all together... and sit nice and flush... i hate how they stick out past the outer edge of the fender...wheel's on, lugs nice and tight!!!finished shot, sorry for the dirty cars and wheels, it's been raining for 2 weeks, almost non stop..i need to put the 11mm on the back, and have no spacers on the front, then all wheels should sit pretty much flush to the outer edge of the fender.... but they sit fine enough for me right now.... at least until i get some wider proper fitting tires... but I'm working with what little i got...

even with the +30 offsets, i can't complain for $600!!!!! s*** still looks great!!

and as a final answer to my bogging at 4.5k, i've fixed the problem, it was my bad alternator, which i've replaced and it fixed ALL my issues.... i guess a SR20 doesn't much like going into boost with only 11V.. lol... on my road test, as soon as it hit 3.5k @ 11lbs, the left rear tire broke loose and spun with FURY.... i need to get my VLSD in there ASAP, so i can at least have some traction... that will prob go in later today...

3 more issues i need to address...

1. for some reason my PS fluid EXPLODED all over the bay the other day, so looks like i'm going to have to find that leak/cavern, and replace it with a part from the gold car..

2. Wiring up my AC, all there's, compressors mounted, all lines are intact, it's now just a matter or wiring in a relay for the comp to come on when i push the AC button... been working on it a few days with splicing wires in the F3 plug, as per a write up in fresh alloy..

3. Cruise control.... i thought it would be a simple hook up and go affiar... WRONG... the current cable bracket, OR the SR throttle body pulley does not have the provision for CC.. so, i'll have to put the KA bracket, and TB on there to get that situated... FUN!!!

other than that, just gotta put the VLSD in, and the swap is pretty much complete... until i get ready to put my 600cc's and Z23 MAF on, then it'll be over with, killing V8's like what? what?

VLSD is in.... car's washed, and lightly detailed....

finally DONE!!!!!!FMIC lined up pretty good... better than in the gold car... UGH...gold zenki fail lol

wow so many posts in one day... sorry guys, i should have consolidated it it all in one... but you know how it goes, do work, stop, do work, stop... it's like an hour on, hour off... i'm about tired of doing work... I'm glad I'm so close to 100% (those three things keeping me from it), i'll be glad when all's said and done.... hell i might even wait to do my 600cc's and Z MAF... lol

i'm not... gonna dump all that s*** in a lake.... lol....

for real though, i've lost all interest in that car, so i'm just going to sell the complete shell, and the KA separate... i just don't have the motivation any more, and it kinda needs to get out of my drive way ASAP

i'm kind of debating.....

on another note... my car runs f***ing AWESOME NOW
