forgive me nissan enthusiasts, it has been a long time since my last update....

well here it is...

so, a brief read on what's happened since my photobucket went to s***...

bought a S13 coupesold S13 coupe to get another project car (still under wraps)bought a gang of s*** for next to no money (Nismo 2 way, 5spd swap, rare JDM wheels, S14 SE seats, and other s***)went drifitng (vid already posted)and got a lot of s*** done on the house

only thing i really have pics of (as black car is pretty much done, or is it?), is the progress on the house... so here goes!

Great Room

well work, Florida aquafir water is awesome, after it's filtered..

master tub with a fixture that cost more than it should have (over $1k in bathroom fixtures alone... UGH)

pre siding (had to throw a shot of the drift rig w/tires in the shot!)

siding! with my own custom front columns, my own design, built by yours truely, simple, yet elegant!

after paint, which i REALLY pissed off about, we had picked a light shade of brown, from the color palet, almost a beige... builder says paints all done, so we go out there for pics, and the house is f***ing SALMON!!! pink mixed orange?!?!?!!?! i rose some serious hell, so we're dealing with that issue now... you can't see the actual color in the pics, but it's HORRIBLE as i'm going with slate colored roof and sofit, white trim, and with a neutral beige for the walls... no way in HELL is SALMON PINK going to fly with the roof/sofit/trim...

ether way, insulation is in, and they're gonna be hanging sheet rock on monday...

more car related updates soon to come when i get either my new project, or if i decide to sell all the parts i'm stacking up for it... in that case, i got some plans in store for the black car that'll be pretty sweet!

well small update, once again more house related than car related, but don't worry, last part of the update is good for the lulz...

house finally painted the right color, looks a bit darker in the pics than it really is, trim still needs finishing tho...

i built this for my 50" plasma, came out pretty nice now that there's drywall on it! should look pretty nice and present well once plastered and painted..

view into kitchen/dining area...

view into living/great room..

GARAGE!!!!!

now here's the kicker, been working on this mofo for the second half of the day, welding, and fabbing up piping and s***... getting this whore of a car ready for the Dec 5th Desoto drift event... not my design, i just helped with the welding, and fabbing...

Mazda MX-5 Miata... dubbed frankenmiata V2.0!

went from a not running roller, to running, 10lbs, half tuned, and throwing some boost down... should slide nice come the 5th... next up for it is some beefy sway bars, and some springs! i'll post more updates on this crazy a** car as the progress goes along... "custom" cut hood, scoops, and all!!!

^thanks man!!! comments like that make it all the more worth while to keep working and posting!!

well, another update, not much of one tho....

finally got some new front tires to match my rears... they're Goodyear Eagle GT's... pretty nice, the rears i've had on for a week or so are grippy as f***, so i wanted em for the front as the Bridgestone Potenza run flats were straight s*** for drifting.... understeer/sliding out mid drift sucks balls...

so here's the new run...

245/40/18 up front255/40/18 out back

pics...

YAY!!!!

some shots of the tread design and stretch, which i LOVE the way 245's sit on a 9.5 wheel...

fitment pic...

rear pre-roll rubbing.... OH NOES!!! brand new rears, and already got some shredding...

i love getting free tires, YAY for drift spares!!!

and my new camera, i got tired of the low quality video my point and shoot camera had, so i wanted something a bit better that was a true camcorder, and shot in higher res... so i got this, it shoots in 1080, and 720 HD, and it has 8mp snap shots, which is just as good as the camera i normally use.... so hopefully my drift videos from here on out will have a higher quality than a point and shoot...

small/light enough to not put too much stress on my single suction cup mounts....

pretty much it for now guys... new alignment on Sunday, i have to adjust some camber and caster for the upcoming event @ Desoto on the 5th....

well, just a small update, changed out the Diff fluid in the KAAZ 2 way, and put some parts on i've been sitting on for a while...

1.5qts of 80w90 and one bottle of Ford Friction Modifier... from what i've read, it should help with the clunking, clanking, rattling, and all the other misc noises my diff makes... and new oil should help it grab a little harder... yet to do a test drive yet as my driver side rear knuckle is bent and cracked...

then i finally got my Megan rear lower bar on, been sitting on the parts shelf for almost two months...

and i also FINALLY installed my police issue wig wag head light flashers, i was going to put them on my HIDs but after reading up, it has a tendency to burn the ballasts, and the wig wag control box out, so i wired em up to my high beams, and tucked all the wiring... might come in handy with slow f***ers on the back roads!

here's the vid, taken with my new Flip Mini UltraHD camera i got so i can have higher quality videos of my drift events...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V50TcSSJWVI

so yeah, not much, just posting as i go....

i'll have the car in the shop tomorrow to replace the knuckle, then ANOTHER alignment, and then i should be ready for the drift competition at Desoto Super Speedway on Saturday... time crunch!!

so this is a more personal, half drunk, just got done arguing with my girl post, but i want to use this pic, as a reminder to all who've followed m build, to prive that not all that glitters is gold...

i just got into a huge argument with my woman... huge... so i broke off, went outside to smoke my black and mild to cool down a little but, and to add some personality to this post, when i went and sat in my chair this is what i see....

... my "sweet" car, in my driveway... looking all low as the rear end is on jack stands waiting for a new rear knuckle, but even as nice as some of you guys think my car car is, look closer.... it's on jack stands, there's a 6y/o bed sheet covering the driver side window because it wont go up anymore due to worn out brushes in the motor, needs a new alignment... but still, as what I'm trying to accomplish here with the emotional aspect, is that, no matter how bad things get, either with how "sweet" my/your car is, or whatever stage your build, car may be in... it's still there... when you get done with an argument with your parents, girlfriend, wife, in no matter what state of repair, or perfection, you car is still there waiting for you, with no expectations, it's there, waiting, for you, and your attention, no matter what, to what end, it's there...

this goes out to people with what some may consider lesser cars, projects, or restos... no matter what level your project may be, it will always be there, loving, and waiting for the next part you throw at it, and will appreciate it no matter what...

no matter how bad or good things get, the one constant will always, and ALWAYS be your car/project.

Marshall.

PS. about 10 beers to the wind, and had some thoughts you guys might be interested in...

Is this combonation supposed to be better or equivilent to the oil that kaaz makes for it's 2 ways?

so yeah, as some of you may know, i was having wheel/tire/suspension issues... i noticed a bit o squrillely action with my back end, so i figured "hell, it's got to be the china suspension everyone talks so much s*** about", so i replaced my RLCAs with the OEM units and went for an alignment...

alignments done, and the right side sits semi sunk like any +30 wheel would, and the the driver side was about 1/2" out, like it was a +12.... measured a bunch of s*** on the frame, everything lined up, then went to a frame shop and the owner said i bent the left rear knuckle... WTF!?!?!?!?

SO i get home, look at it in the dark and i realize it's CRACKED... i didin't know how bad it was till i got it off....

so, i finally got some pics of the damage....

see how it's sloped? that's at the ball joint mount...

so much for Godspeed arms being complete s***, cause those held up with no issues after a massive wheel drop at the track, and OEM CAST IRON knuckle not only bent, but cracked...

someone needs to find the 12 year old Chinese kid who welded my arms together in a sweat shop, and give him a job at the Nissan Engineering/Design Department..

funny thing is, is that with all the s*** people talk about Rota wheels, and godspeed suspension, NOTHING happened to either of the two brands in an impact hard enough crack and bend cast iron...

go figure...

it's just following a trend. People love to fill their mod list with VOLK, CUSCO, TEIN, ZEAL, etc etc...

I just buy what works for me and so far EVERYTHING has been working flawlessly. Even my chinacharger that I daily drive/commute
