thanks h-eater!!! and megatron, i was staring at that damn zenki for like 30 minutes... looks FAR better in person than in the pics... so clean, not a single flaw....

well, just got my 2nd OEM strut bar in... ordered it on an impulse, only cause i've only seen 2, one of which i own, and the other on a 180SX type X front clip i saw on eBay... so this being the third, i "bought it now" on ebay... don't even have a car to put it on... but the center "NISSAN" sticker is in better shape than mine, so i might swap em out (thanks to NeedCAforS13 for posting the link on the bar)

here it is...

beefy as hell, twice as thick as the GReddy and Cusco units i saw at the Nissan BBQ..

so i dunno what I'm gonna do with it... impulse buy.... maybe i'll put it on the KAE-T coupe (did i just say that out loud?), i'll be putting together... who knows....

oh yeah, and a s*** ton of progress on my house...

electricians, HVAC guys, and the plumbers all inside now, doing their thing.... next up, siding!!!

other than that, sorry for the boring update guys...

I got one, bought it back in 2005 off ebay. I painted it to look like the Nismo one, because it is the same damn thing for half the price.

Love your car by the way looks very nice, wheel fitment rocks too.

^^^NICE!! how much you pay for yours?

well, nothing done to my car today, got a bunch of s*** knocked out on the gray S14 to get it ready for the buyer... till i found out i had the wrong flywheel (thanks chris, F'ing n00b!!)... then my buddy tom came over, and we finished up the five lug swap for his Kouki i sold him....

some pre work hard park shots....

Tom is happy man!!!!

gonna miss those SE's, made for good drift wheels.... either way, i was happy to help tom with his swap, good luck buddy!!!

NEXT!!!............

so i promised new pics of my fitment/tire size, so while i was in the pic taking mood, i snapped off a few...

oddly, they look beefier in person....

oh, and a pile of parts... feel free to point out what you can see... be interesting to see what you guys can see tucked away in the pile LOL!!

everything's lookin good, even the house lol

i think we pretty much have the same fitment as far as the front wheels go, I have 18x9 +20 (effective w/ 5mm spacers) with a 255/35/18 tire and I'm just about as low as I can go without rubbing like a mofo in moderate turns. I like to do canyon runs so I can't be slammed but it kinda kills me cuz i wanna be low lol my lip is still a good 5 inches off the ground

what are you planning on doing to your fenders to make them not rub? I'm such a n00b with wheel fitment

basically i'm going to finish the roll in the back, right now the metal is in more of a V shape, and not completely flattened... that should slove my problems out back...

as far as out front, pretty much the same as the rear, but i need to pry out the part where the back upper corner of the bumper mounts to the fender, that little "flange" there is rubbing decent up front... pull that slightly, finish the roll, and it SHOULD be on on point...

as it stands, in the rear i can fit a OEM nissan key in the rear, and it'll stay... on the front it's slightly different as i have 245's and more of a stretch, and since the wheel arch is higher in the front than in the back, i have a bit more wheel well room... but i still rub on the half rolled lip, and the bumper mounting flange...

you can see how close i am really well in this pic....

as you can see, the outside of the front tire is significantly out past.... i'm not much of a super fitment jdmtytyo kinda guy, but i do want as much meat as possible, with proper camber/alignment settings to maximize grip, and minimize rubbing....

don't know which car i'm putting them in yet... i'm currently tracking the 14 while i'm building the 13, so i'll prob slap em in there till the 13's road ready...

as for fitting, all but one hole lines up perfect to an S chassis, and the one that doesn't isn't that far off.... i can use a large washer to make it work...

Now, why would you do that?

Don't you always make fun of people when they say they want to re-build their KA's for boost...

i wasn't going to rebuild it... i was gonna slap a kit together and boost it for a day before it does what every other KAT project does.... blow up....

UPDATE: got some ish done today... got the gray car around 80% ready for start up, all i got left to do is a bit of wiring for the MAF and o2 sensor (missing pigtail, UGH), and rerun all the front end vac lines for the BOV and wastegate...

PICS!!!

then, i'm using all the new couplers and T-Bolt clamps that came with the new FMIC kit and using them on the black car.... i also stole the 3" FMIC core from the kit too, and put the big a** 4" FMIC core on the gray car....

poor girl looks toothless....

oh, and i got the GTR seats in....

NOT PURPLE!!!! lol... all the others i've seen have been a faded purple color...

overall first impressions (no drive time yet as my car is in pieces...), are goddamn these things FIT... i mean, you can tell they were designed for the japs, cause i'm kinda small at 150lbs/5'8" and these things fit me like a glove, shoulders, waist, hips, and thighs are all pretty snug, with not much movement when i wiggle around... a WORLD of difference compared to the S14 seats....

can wait to hit a couple events in em, to see why they put em in the GTR...

wrapped up for the day....

gray car should be finished up tomorrow, and i'll be getting my S13 coupe first thing in the morning.. where to put it? lol, I'm running out of space....
