ha ka-t's seem to have some kind of problem if they aren't rebuilt/freshened up for boost. Mine blew cuz of a faulty walbro tho

those gt-r seats looks kinda like the s14 seats as far as "holding" you in place but they are way better huh? I might be looking around for some

they are on a whole different level than S14 seats....

S14 seats are like park benches compared to the GTR units... better be a smaller guy lol...

good luck finding a set, i guess thay're pretty rare or w/e

bolt right in, with the exception of the rear one, closest to the door... oversized washers would hold it down, but i'm making a little 1.5" strip of metal with a hole it it to use as a "tab" to hold the eye down...

well guys, got some pics taken.... she's not much as she sits, but like any other project will be progressing slowly... not to mention, this isn't a primary car, so i prob wont spend too too much time with it...

i've decided what i'm going to do with it.... full on restoration... going full interior, as what's in there now with the exception of the dash and back seat is pretty damn mint... going silvia front with aero, rear overfenders, a MAACO paint job after aeros on (painted same color two tone on aero and stuff)... some suspension, and a welded diff, as it will be my drift car....

as far as motor plans, i don't know yet, i'm considering 3 options...

KAT (rebuild first of course)SR20DET (not again!!!)late model Mustang GT 5.0 (yeah, i know the LSx is better or whatever)

well, on to the pics i guess....

i see what you did there....

everything lines up REAL nice... just need to get the dings and small dents out...

one +40 17" wheel that makes you DRIFT AHHHH!!!!

decent dent in the lower door and 1/4 rocker... not too too bad tho, might pop out...

can't tell from this pic, but the interior is actually in REALLY nice shape, just needs to be cleaned and the dash needs to be pulled...

mint door panels.... and vinyless dash... s***'s all fuzzy wuzzy...

full trunk lining, prob once cleaned, nicest part of the car...

just another random shot to show how everything lines up nice...

and the engine bay shot.... FAIL!!!!!!! some goodies though, 4-1 LONG tube header, MSD coil, AEM cold air intake, fat a** plug wires, big a** electric fan with shroud... bunch of other little s*** not worth mentioning...KA's.... ugh...

and this in the trunk.... KAE? KADE? i have no idea, but the pistons are BRAND NEW... maybe rebuilt? forged? f*** it i know, s*** is for sale or it's getting shoved out the back of my truck on I-75...

overall, not bad for $300 i think.... i see coupe shells going for a grand with less....

got an update...

gray car is now on the ground, and 95% complete for the guy buying it... i've spent quite some time putting it back together... when i started, it was basically a shell, with no hubs, no suspension, and just a SR long block under the hood... now after two straight days of humpin', she's finally back on the ground for the first time in two months...

just got a couple things left to do

wire in MAF pigtailinstall boost gaugewire in universal o2 sensorrun a vac line to the waste gate

i think that's it...

and since i ordered a new FMIC kit for the gray car, i decided to steal all the new couplers and T-Bolt clamps for my car, and put all my old s*** on the gray car... upgraded clamps FTW!!!

while all the piping was out, i looked at it, and said "these look like s***!!" off to the parts store... one sheet of 3M wet or dry sandpaper, one can of primer, and two cans of Nissan Super Black later....

not all my parts were made in china.... ***holes! haha

Instead of going KAT or SR or fail motor, get a real 2way and leave the stock KA for a while til it blows. This way you can continue to learn and progress with power, and focus on more important parts of a drift car yanno? Like pretty wheels and kits

If you can tear s*** up with a beat down KA, then imagine what you can do with that 300+hp. I forget you drift with the S14, but think about what batters do when they are on deck, put a weight on the bat to warm up. The KA can be your warmup, just an idea for ya.

Either way I look forward to seeing what you do with it.

pretty decent little update here.. with a s*** ton of pics... so if you're 56K GTFO....

i guess i'll start at the top...

got the gray car finished... and running, albiet a little rough is a bad MAF, 6-7 mo old gallon of gas in the tank... but for proof that it's out of the drive....

not too too bad if i don't say so myself....

and then, i finished putting my car together, to get it out the way, so here's the shots of the new FMIC core and freshing painted super black piping.... and T bolt clamps w/new couplers...

and then, once the gray car and the black car was out the of the, time to get the S13 coupe in the "bay" to get started on it... i took a few shots, more close up and detailed to give you guys more of a view of what i'm working with here to start with....

here's some before photos...

i never buy a car that doesn't come loaded with a bucket/container of random nuts and bolts FROM the car i'm buying...

super JDM tyte push button start, with custom cracked "bezel".. actually works tho!!

tear down begins....

whoa....

s***!!!

fuuuuuuuuu.....

cleaned out and fixed up.... clawhammer as a model... new s14 seats... vac'd, and cleaned!!!

pretty much done... time for some hard parking shots.. welcome to mi casa!!!

then clawhammer came over, and he gave my son Tyler a ride on his bike!! tyler HAD to wear his batman pajamas all day...

sweet!!!

don't worry, speeds were never in excess of 5-10mph (for those of you like "ZOMG HELMETZ!!!)..

and a couple random shots...

from a drfit event... i love this pic...

and my new camera mounts... trying to get some decent footage for future events... i got these and told they were crap, and will fall off in 30 minutes... so far, they've held my point and shoot camera i use to take my pics, and my camcorder for about 24 hours... oh yeah, mounted em to my Black Tail Prairie Dogs enclosure...

and a small update on the house....

Windows are trimmed!!! and we're putting siding on over the weekend and early this week...

my own window trim design...

and my own design, hand built flush mount entertainment "center", big opening up top is for the 50" plasma, the mid hole is for the Wii, 360, receiver, and DVR sat thing...

standing in the kitchen, view of the "great room"....

that's pretty much it guys.....

trading the S14 seats that came in the car (the ones in the pic by the coupes trunk) for a mint uncracked dash...

house SHOULD be done in the 1st or 2nd week of January...
