Looking at the pic ^ you need to loosen the screws and move the dampner outward (towards outside of car). Also you will have to move the two outside screws to the next holes in order to do that.

Does that make sense?

cool looks like it's coming along nice. so the coils don't make the funny noise anymore?

time to get some wheels and it'll make a lot of difference.

Update.. already really? man i love warm weather! F*** old man winter, he hates cars.. and he left me a small amount of rust to deal with that B******. so that big update i was talking about will be arriving this monday! i always told myself i would stick with the KA because it was different to build that than another motor up. but now more and more people build KA's into beasts so i said F*** it im getting an SR. there are more parts available and at a more reasonable price. so tonight i went and picked up Duplicolor primer and gloss black to clean up the bay when i pull the KA out. onto pics!

Specs:S13 SR20DET Black top5 speedPurchased from JHOT imports in Denton Texas for $2000 shipped Side mount intercooler with pipingComplete wiring harness with ECU already wired for S14Solid engine/trans mountsunknown short shifterdriveshaftFuel pumpand anything else i missed thats in the pics!i was VERY happy with Jhot's customer service. whenever i had a question, which i had many, they emailed me very quickly. i will let everyone know how the motor turns out when i fire it up. but so far so good with Jhot, i mean come on look at all the new toys i have to play with!

I'm waiting on the new wheels for a while. It just snowed last night so I still need the winter tires on there. It just sucks because I'm on spring break...

the SR has been in for about 2 weeks now and pulling HARD! with an open down pipe its insane. boost is an addiction. i was extremely pleased with JHOT imports. everything on the motor was in pristine condition. the motor has NO weird noises or anything. not even a damn leak haha. i ended up with a S14 SR harness with a WC (if i remember correctly) computer. apparently i didnt understand when they said already wired for S14, because it sure wasnt. but not a problem. just and all nighter and my buddy figured the whole thing out since i dont car for electrical that much. i was under a time crunch, i had work and i was on spring break. keep in mind this was the first time i had even laid eyes on an SR.. so i think it turned out pretty damn good for the alloted time period. i wanted to paint the bay and such, but ill have to suffer haha. onto pictures!

the mess of wires....

woohoo stock sidemount!!

so after playing with some things i found out that i could wiggle the down pipe quite easily... culprit, loose turbo nuts. so i had to pull it off to tighten them all down and bend the tabs like they should have been so they dont come loose anymore.

and i found this at my local arcade!! haha

picked up all 4 of these from work for free, they were going in the trash... pfffff DIBBSKuhmo Ecsta V710 225/45/17

see the burn mark at the end of Intercooler? yeah thats why you dont set a light down then go under the car for a few minutes. DOOHH

Ditching A/C garbage

sanded down the letters and cleaned the writing offf

my quick attempt to clean it up a little bit for now.

thats it for now!!

Hmm I hate to say it, but you need to clean up that wire mess / blue loom. It just makes it stick out like a sore thumb..

A tuck is on order.

This makes me want to do my swap all over again. Only thing is for $400 more you could have picked up a S14 SR.

For the record, you definitely have your head on your shoulders. I just hope you hold to your vow to not street race. Its a stupid thing to do and its not cool.

That said, nice car. Im really liking the wheel and tire combo. Out of curiousity, how do those tires ride? I was considering them for my car when I got to that point.
