orijin wrote:If anyone needs these same led strips from oznium, i work at an auto store and can get the items with employee discount for a discounted price of $20 + whatever it cost to have it shipped. Comes in original seal packaging. The colors available i believe are blue, white, red, green. If it is $20 it is the price for two strips not just one. Decided to contribute to the nissan forums

[QUOTE=Importroller]wiring wasnt difficult. I have mine set to come on when the car is on. DRL!

Hey Import, What did yo connect it to so that it turns on when the car is on? I heard somewhere on this forum that you can connect it to a fuel pump fuse? I dont want to go through the trouble of making a switch so I just want to wire it something that automatically turns on when the car is on. Thanks

Im the one that wired it to the fuel pump fuse. As long as the pump is on, the lights are on

i think you can, but there's a certain length that you have to cut for it to work, you might want to call the company and make sure how long it is.

electrically you could get a wire tap and a relay put the wire tap on the fuel pump wire and then to one side of the relay and connect another to the battery so that when the fuel pump turns on it energizes the relay and sends power to the lights

there is alot of info in here just browse through it....

and you dont have to use the fuel pump wire just something that is swiched on with the car.

I bought some White Led Strips and put them on yesterday.

I wired them to my aftermarket fog lights so they come on when I switch the fogs on.

Here are some pics. I like it, I think it's pretty sweet

Here's a pic with all the lights off.

Here the DRL and fogs

Close Up

what do you guys think?

i got the fogs from eBaythe seller is autopialightingthere are a lot of pics on his item page.i think it's a pretty good deal. going to have to use your fog light covers as a mounthe's in Houston, Texas so that may be close to you?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ories

I bought them like 6 months ago for around $50 shipped, seems like the price went up a bit. I got it with the 7 color halo rings. comes with everything, don't have to buy a relay switch, etc.

Hardest part was getting the switch into the car.

Hi,1. No I didn't have to remove the bumper, I just took out the top pin of the bumper so that I could get the wire in between the bumper and the headlight easier. The LED strip itself is just applied directly on the bottom of the headlight.

2. I have a coupe pictures and yes I have one close up with the lights off. Here is a link the all the photos I took http://s367.photobucket.com/al...ltima/for those of you who are too lazy, lol if they are a bit blurry, it's because I didn't have the flash on.

3. No those http://www.oznium.com/led-strip-flat-head lights don't seem to be waterproof, and it's definitely not what I used. I bought mines from here http://www.ijdmtoy.com/webpage/products/Strip.htmThey are only $22 shipped for 2 pairs. Most other people are paying $19 for 1 strip plus shipping, but that's because those have more LEDs. http://www.oznium.com/thin-led-strip

4. Thank you very much

When I tried to mount the fogs onto the opening, they just wouldn't fit, so I had to take out the fog light covers, cut out the middle part, then I had to put the fog lights into the fog covers, using them to mount it to the car.

I drilled some holes on the sides of the fog light covers and used zip ties to hold them in place.

I don't have a dremel so I used a razor to cut the hole into the fog light cover, lemmie tell you.. that plastic is extremely hard. lol

I didn't put the the led in the gap, I applied them directly onto the headlights I was going to put them so that it covers the gap in between the bumper and the headlight, but then half the tape wouldn't be in contact with anything.
