Audi White LED Daytime Running Lights - Sedan Version

I was trying to think of a noob way to install these. Maybe you guys could answer this for me.

My car doesn't have fog lights, but it is prewired. If I went to a junk yard and picked up a OEM light stick (like the thing for the turn signals that connects to the steering collum, idk what its called) and put it in and wired the LED's up to the fog light prewire, would the LED's turn on when ever I turned the "fog lights" on on the stick?

Because if it works this way, I it would save a lot of time, right?
