Post

Hey everyone. I'm new to the forum (one other post yesterday) and will be going to the dealer tonight to work on a price for the S 360 AWD. I would love to have gone with the SL, but after taxes etc, it'll be more than I can afford right now - plus I still need to get a remote start put in. The two things I wanted most with the SL were the Xenon headlights and the bluetooth. I think I can get the headlights online and put them into the 360 myself, and I'm planning on upgrading the radio anyway so I'll get one with bluetooth - it'll work out much cheaper I think than going with the SL. Anyway, I don't think I'll be driving one home tonight (probably in a couple days I'm guessing), but plan on leaving the dealer tonight knowing that I'm almost a Rogue owner :)

The post above was from a couple days ago - I'm happy to say that I'm now officially a Rogue owner. I went with the AWD 360 package - Gotham Gray. Love it!!!

I am a big time forum user as I work in IT and sit in front of my PC all day and I think forums are an amazing resource for owners looking for advice especially on repairs and/or issues... we are located in Peterborugh Ontario Canada and will be tripping back and forth to Ottawa over the next few years as our daughter is attending Ottawa University... we are having the Rogue delivered Friday and making a trip to Ottawa Saturday... cant wait

Hi all. Just got my new Rogue yesterday. Picked up a 2010 silver S AWD with the 360 package, floormats, and splash guards. Paid 20,588 before tax, 22,030 total including tax. Great deal, great car. Loving it so far.

Just bought a Rogue. 2010 SL FWD. Basic package. Love gadgets, but was short on budget. Out the door price was $20300. Its some iridium Metalik color exterior. So finding it tough already to look for any generic exterior updates.
But I loving this blog though. I love car improvements. Here's a list in my mind right now:

1. Front guard (someone has this great gutter guard idea. Liked it)
2. Interior LED
3. Front Chrome insert
4. Fog light
5. Parking sensor/ Camera
6. Chrome linning
7. LED Turn light
8. Bumper guard
9. Spoiler

Looking forward to sharing all future updates....

well not sure if i did this right but here goes...i'm a repeat offender!! i bought an 09 rogue almost 2 years ago after driving a galant sedan for almost 10 years...i did love the rogue but was never happy with the silver ice color it was an SL and loved all but the color (omg i am SO shallow!! lol), just could not like the color for me...so i thought I will go back to a little white sedan and traded my rogue in for a hyundai sonata 6 cylinder limited, loaded. it was a great car, do not get me wrong. but after driving a small suv, sitting up tall, etc. it was just not as much fun - that was almost a year ago. so i started looking for another small suv i could get into without burying myself alive in it of course and started thinking used was the way to go. i looked at the hyundai tuscon particularly but i was definitely going to have to love whatever i got since i want to keep it for ten or fifteen years, i don't like this musical car stuff and way too costly...after many months of searching and dreaming, i realized the only color on the rogue i truly liked and had wanted from the beginning was the iridium graphite but could never get it around here, new or used. looking online the other night, i saw a used one just posted at a nearby dealership for what looked like a great price and called to make appt next day. it is a 2010 SL, pretty much loaded like my old one but also has a sunroof, a spoiler and the most AWESOME chome BOSS rims on it (about $3,000 dollars worth), chome door handles (chrome is my favorite color)...unbelievably clean, no wear or tear and 13,000 miles, stll smelled new. Certified vehicle. I waited 4 hours, then came back to look at it, they were writing it up for another sale to someone else...my salesman saw me drive thru, yelled at the other salesman to NO, DON"T SELL IT MY LADY IS BACK!!...the rest is hisory...i got a good deal on the used rogue, good deal on my used car and have been grinning ear to ear ever since and FEEL LIKE I HAVE COME BACK HOME WHILE BEING IN MY ROGUE!! God willing, this is my 15 year car...love every bit of it!! :-)

Car: 2010 S FWD - 360

Post

Hello Everyone,
Yesterday we purchased the Rogue S - 360. Color is black, and it's a 2010. I had a Nissan pick-up when I was a teenager, but it's the first for my wife. We've been driving Honda Civics lately, I've had one since 2002 and my wife has had hers since 1998. After financing, the purchase will cost $23,400. We had plans to buy a Honda Accord, since we now need more room in the back seat for our son's car seat. Honda didn't want to budge from their prices, I guess they don't really need to. If Nissan hadn't helped us out as much as they did we would have had to go to Toyota for a Camry lease. The salesman made it easy on us, my wife had spoken to him earlier on the phone so he was able to set the agreed to price. It didn't take long and we were out the door and happily on our way. I'm glad I found this forum, and I can't wait to read the posts.

Hey everyone,

I just picked up my 2010 Rogue SL wicked black/gray leather with Premium and leather packages, chrome grill, roof rack crossbars, floor mats, aluminum kick plates, and bumper protector, for $22,350 plus TTL. It took about 2 weeks of contacting multiple dealers around my area to get this price and to locate the exact color combination I wanted. I also did not want the moonroof which made it even harder to locate. In the end it was definitely worth the wait!

Hi. I'm Heather. I guess I shoulda joined 3 weeks ago when I bought my Rogue. I bought a 2010 black s krom edition with the 360 package. I LOVE my car.
I traded in an old PT Cruiser and surprisingly driving the Rogue was a lot like the PT without the bumping, road noise, and other flaws that my old car had. The Rogue is the only car I test drove and drove it off the lot the day I tested one.
Now to what happened. My Rogue saved my life. I was in a really bad accident yesterday that completely smashed my engine into the back of a flat bed tow truck and was rearended by another vehicle. All going about 50 mph on the highway. The airbags didn't deploy but I was pushed so far into the back of the bed of the truck that the hood kept it from going through the windshield. I'll never own anything but a Rogue.
I'll figure out how to post pics of before and after.
Thank y'all for helping me make the best decision of my life!

Heather,

Welcome and glad you are OK. The fact that the airbag did not deployed may be because you hit the truck more with your hood that with the bumper (not normal, truck should have a low bar to be at the level of car bumpers in order to avoid this problem).

Bad thing that your brand new car was crashed, was it totaled? Do you plan to buy another one?

As for pictures, if you don't have one yet, open an account on Photobucket for example, upload your pictures on their website, and then insert the link here (link with the [img] quotes).

Wow Heather, that's a crazy story, I'm really sorry to hear of your accident but very happy that you were not hurt, and very happy to have you as a member of the Rogue forum, welcome!!

I have read several accounts of the Rogue in accident situations with the drivers coming away unhurt and highly praising this car for preventing serious injury and possibly even death.

Like Pescakl I'm assuming you will be getting a replacement new Rogue once the insurance business is all settled?

Welcome to the forum everybody!

Mak32, to post photos you have to upload and store them on a free photo hosting web site then insert the link into the Rogue forum thread - it's really simple and you can get it done literally in 5 mintues.

Photobucket.com works great, it's free, create an account then upload your photos, they then provide you with a link for each photo that you insert into the Rogue thread using the "URL" button (make sure you use the Full Editor, not the "Quick Reply" function).

If you do have difficulties don't worry, just message me and I'll help you out right away, I can even host the photos for you if you want.

Greetings,
Just leased a 2011 Super black Rogue SV AWD with the premium package! Like everything but the cloth interior. Had to step down from a Infinti 2007 G35 sedan, (the recession paid me a visit) but not missing it. Picked up the Rogue yesterday and looking forward to enjoying it

hey y'all. Sorry it took so long to come back. Its been a crazy month.

To answer some of the questions. No. They didn't total it. Which, honestly, I was hoping they would. I most definitely would have gotten another rogue. They ended up having to pretty much rebuild it. It came out to roughly $14k of damage. Luckily (or unluckily-however you wanna look at it lol) it was a krom, so hardly any after market parts were used. I think they used about 4 parts, which were in the engine bc, as we all know, they are pretty much the same in most nissans. My adjuster and the guy at the body shop both said that they would have really pushed for new parts bc there was so few miles on it.

Other than some grinding with sharp left turns, she drives perfectly. I'll be taking it back to the shop this week to get that fixed. All of the pieces of the body had to be special ordered bc of the krom package (who woulda known) and a part of the exhaust has to be shipped from japan. That part won't be in til mid-nov, so they had to run a straight line temporarily so that I could have it back. Really, you can't tell but I want her perfect. I opened a photobucket acct so I'll post a few pics. I'll split them up since it takes so long for me to see them when they're bunched together.

Here's before:

This is the day of the wreck. I did slide up under the flat bed of the truck. The hood of the rogue was pushed so far back, it hit the windshield, then I was hit from behind. I remember thinking, and then I get hit from behind. Lo The guy who hit me from behind slid up under the backend of my car, pushing my exhaust forward and shoving me even farther in the bed.

Here's a different view from the front. The insurance company took this. The frnt was pretty much hanging off of the car.
The other is of under the car where the exhaust was shoved down.

2010 SL AWD, Grey. Trailer hitch, cross bars, kick plates. (Previous car: 2010 Civic 270,000 miles, no major maintenance, and I'm keeping it). Bought in July 2010. 4050 miles so far, 153 gallons of gas, over 700 of those miles were pulling a 1200 lb Scamp travel trailer. All I can say is "What a car". I can't wait for winter.

Mods I want:
7-wire plug for the trailer hitch
HID fog lights
HID high beams
H&R lowering springs

Hi I just got my preowned Rogue 2 days ago It is a 2010 AWD SL with 25000 kms.
Me and my wife have been looking at a Rogue since we first heard about it and now WOOP WOOP its ours. It was my wife attraction to the big sister; the Murano that got us looking at Nissan as our first car. As soon as we found about the cheeper, fuel efficent Rogue we knew what our dream car was. and after looking around we found a few preowned ones that were in our budget. (Side Note: we were also looking at a Versa as an alternative but not our first choice)
Well we found one It is black and I am a little surprized that even though it is an SL it doesnt have a moonroof, rear view monitor, trip computer, cargo light, tempurature, XM, and a few other things. But the price we paid for it was a good deal for what we got. And afterall as im finding out Its definetly not all the little trinkets that make a Rogue A Rogue. And so fun to drive. We did get heated seats with it and as we live in Winnipeg They will be the most needed thing (They are so nice)
Any way We Both love it to Death and as I havent been on the hiway other than the test drive yet. I am Not going to be able to sleep once again as we are going to take it out of the city tommorow ( I can wait) Also I so far am a big Fan of th CVT It is so nice to be able to drive it with out the lag and the power is there as soon as you need it. Also you can keep the RPMs under 2000. I can stay from 1200 to 1700 inside the cityand still drive from a red light to 60 and keep a steady flow with traffic. A very gas saving thing in itself. Instead of bring the engine up and down as in an auto and manual transmission in other cars.
Just love it and Most importantly so does my wife. and Im going to be a Nissan owner for life if this is how they all are.
I am going to buy winter tires in the next few weeks and i have already looked at the very informative form on winter tires and have made a post there regarding my choice an that.ok bye for today and thanks in advance for all the support in this web community of Rogue Owners

Very glad to find a resource such as this for my new Rogue! Bought it the end of August after narrowing down my model choices and budget I decided the Rogue was just the ticket. Since I have no dealers within 120 miles I didn't mind driving 160 miles to pick up a 2010 S 360 in grey I'd decided on and the price and factory incentives made it a done deal for me! I am so glad to be parking the 12 mpg F-150 4X as my daily driver! I've owned several Nissan trucks over the years and they all treated me well.
So far I've put on some Shear Comfort neoprene custom seat covers in front, Nifty floor protectors, Weathertech front window deflectors, side body protectors, swapped the stock stereo and speakers out for a Pioneer AVH-P4200 dvd unit and am awaiting a hood deflector. Oh, and the simple but cheap mesh grill cover mod which I did and a motion sensor LED cargo light was cheap too.
The info here on the Rogue forum has really helped me out with the stereo and speaker install and some other upgrades already. As well as enlightening me on what's required for an engine heater on US models amongst other really good info and upgrades. Hoping I can give back some of what I've already gleaned and benefited from here!

can someone give me what they would offer for an OTD price on a 2011 Rogue S.
THe best I can negotiate here in Phx ax is 23.5K
Tax here is 9%. Lic/Reg is around 400., so I figure they want around 21K before T/L.
