Thank you for this new thread, I'll reintroduce myself.

Got my new ride 2 days ago, it's a SL AWD with Premium package, color : Airstream (I wanted white pearl but the dealer wasn't able to find one). I've been lurking on this forum for a while now and learned a lot about the car. That helped my decision when I decided to purchase. Thanks to all for posting!

I'm still getting used to the size and high position on the road, but so far so good :-) Now I can't wait to commute to work in the morning, lol!

What's that Queen song ... ( "I'm in love with my car" in case you are not a Queen fan). I'm in Ottawa Ontario Canada. I just got my Rogue, I'm still on my 1st tank of gas ... what a great car! I have the basic S FWD in Venetian Red, it has everything I was looking for in a modestly priced vehicle (safety and handling especially, also room / utility in a compact size and some decent pep on the road too). Got it at $1800 off list price (do shop around! dealerships in Ottawa are hungry right now and Nissan seems to want to make a big splash in the crossover pond with this new model ... and they will!). Like many people, I did a lot of research before buying. The feature / price ratio is what swayed me. OK the fact that it is hot looking (and a Nissan) had some bearing too! I think Nissan has a hit with this car what a great value! I also like the name "Rogue" ... dunno why some have a problem with it, but that's OK, everyone's different. The ecoAuto rebate application is in the mail already ... the $1000 government rebate will be welcome when it arrives! Love my Rogue!

Hi, just bought a SL AWD today in Black, with Black Leather. I got the Moonroof package as well. Had the dealer install the chrome grill plate thing today, and have a wind deflector on order, supposed to be here Monday or Tuesday. I almost bit for the spoiler, but thought they wanted a bit much for the install, and it wasn't in stock so it was easier to say no. So far I am happy with it, still only has 130 miles on after today. I got there extended warranty for 5 years, and 75,000 miles. My first brand new car, so I'm hopefull its a great experience!

Yello everyone! - I'm a new Rogue owner... got an SL AWD a few weeks ago in Indigo Blue with the premium package and moonroof. Not my first Nissan, though - my parents tossed me the keys to a brand-new Nissan Maxima on my 16th birthday... so driving the Rogue has made it feel like a homecoming of sorts.

So far, I seem to be the only one in my general area with one! - I live in Warner Robins, GA (about 2.5 hrs south of Atlanta) and this one has drawn quite a bit of attention with its features and stick-out-like-a-sore-thumb color. lol

I love it though! - there's a strong sense of pride in driving the Rogue to work. I've read some fascinating posts here and am happy to be among many drivers that feel the way I do.

Hi all,

We just brought home an indigo Blue Rogue SLwith grey interior last night. Our car has the premuim package, leather, moonroof, floor mats and bumper protector.

We got it for $300 over the published invoice price.

My wife and I are pretty excited because even if we get only 21mpg, thats a 50% improvement in fuel economy over the '03 Trailblazer LTZ we traded in!!!

My only regret so far is that I didn't learn about mynissan dot com before I asked for a car with floor mats and bumper protector. Could have saved some bucks. (darn)

thanks kostond

My wife and I just bought a 2008 Nissan Rogue SL full loaded. This is our first car purchase together. I've never owned anything but junkers until now, and it seems like being a part of a forum where you can come to get first hand advice from people who know more than me.

Hello all. My wife and I just purchased a Rogue last weekend. So far we love the car. I have owned Nissan/Datsun's off and on for years, so the jump to a Nissan was an easy choice. We purchased an Indigo Blue SL with grey leather interior. We got all the bells and whistles associated with the premium and leather packages. We looked at the Hyundai Santa Fe and Tucson, RAV4, and the offerings from GM before deciding on the Rogue. I hope to learn from others on the forum and contribute where I can.

I just purchased a 2008 Rogue because it has true AWD and runs on regular fuel. I previously owned MB, BMW SUV's but got tired of the mileage and the premium fuel prices. I am a university professor, a physician, and have a PhD in industrial engineering as well. I'm a blue water sailor and need the SUV for hauling "stuff".

Hello. We picked up our Venom Red SL with premium, moonroof and black and red cloth two days ago. Love this vehicle! Extremely pleased with our decision. We were down to the Rogue, Rav, CRV and the new Forester. It was no contest once we spent an afternoon with the Rogue. Very appreciative for this Forum and all the helpful people and information that helped in our research. We drove our 99 Trooper for 9 years and loved it but with the family grown we didn`t need anything that big and we loved the idea of 23 mpg around town as opposed to 15 with the trooper. Enjoy!!

My husband (Palmateer) has been posting here for a while. After test driving the CR-V and the new Forester many times, we just got our Rogue last Thursday. I am the principal driver, so here I am. I thought the CR-V just doesn't look right. It's ackward looking (who designed those interior door handles and the plastic console???). The Forester was nice but the overwhelming amount of 2 tone aluminum looking plastic around the dashboard and the excessive wind noise were two things I couldn't accept.

Even though I wanted a silver Rogue, it was difficult to find one with leather in our area, so we went for the Red/Black Leather combination and we love it. It looks really sharp (love that red stitching!). This is our first SUV and it's going to take a little time to get used to it but we love the challenge. It is a great looking vehicle with beautiful body lines and the combination of features with the leather and the AWD Premium Package is awsome.

I would like to thank everyone here for all the good posts and comments. This forum was a big help to us.

Hello out there Rogue owners. I just got rid of a lemon Dodge Dakota that got 15mpg rock solid, no matter what I did. It also happened to borderline break down after only 8 years of ownership (I bought it new). However, I am happy to say that I traded that ugly mug in for a nice new Gotham Gray Rogue (SL AWD, Red/Black cloth). So far I appear to be getting around 25 mpg (still the first tank) and that has been 100% city driving in a slow east Texas town with more traffic lights than people (or maybe it just seems that way). Glad to be a member of the club and hope to see you guys around the forum.

Hello all,

I just purchased my 2008 Rogue SL AWD in Silver Ice with Black/Red leather. Got it loaded with everything. I am so happy with it so far. My 2005 Pathfinder's lease was up and I was ready to get rid of the gas pig for something more economical. This is my first SUV not built on a truck platform. I test drove most of the same SUV crossovers that everyone else has and decided the the Rogue felt hands down bettter than any RAV4 or CR-V. LOVE LOVE LOVE the bluetooth for my phone. We are looking into instaling a trailer hitch for a bike rack but haven't decided whether to have the dealer do it or go for a lower cost alternative like U-Haul.

Also, I am in the Boston, MA area and am looking forward to using it for all our summer activities!!

Hi everyone! I just purchased my Rogue Friday night. Indigo Blue SL AWD with premium package and moonroof! I love it so far. We had been planning to buy it this past weekend, then my grandfather passed away suddenly in the middle of the week. The only thing that kept me going was just keeping myself distracted with buying my new Rogue. Sounds stupid, but it helped keep my mind off of things and the pain of losing him. We decided to go ahead and still go to the dealership on the night before we were set to go out of town for his funeral, and I'm glad we went. We got to drive it from MD to PA and it made the trip so much more enjoyable, considering the circumstances.I just love it so far, it's a blast to drive compared to the 05 Chevy Colorado I had before. I have a super long 55 mile commute each way to and from work, and the Rogue is going to make it fun! I'm actually looking forward to driving to work! Imagine that.I'd love to get a chrome grill and spoiler soon, my birthday is coming up next month, so my husband hinted at getting something for the Rogue.

Hello All! I got my Rogue about 2 weeks ago. It's a Black SL w/ premium upgrade. No moonroof, no leather, or no bluetoof though. I got rid of my gas guzzlin' Dodge Ram w/HEMI for something a little more economical, hence the Rogue. Hard gettin use to be so low compared to the truck, but I am really diggin the much nicer interior of the Rogue and the way better savings in gas. I got the Rogue just in time, right before the unbelievable gas prices hit. Whew! But really enjoyin' the Rogue, the forum, and everybody's helpful (and courteous) remarks to one another.

PS: Sorry about the answer on the side step rails I posted, that included a question along with it. I'll be sure to start a new topic, rather than lead into another from a current. :+( My apologies.

Picked up a 2008 Rogue on Sunday.

First jap car, first car that doesn't leak (I hope), first car with creature comforts.

Was a Jeep man until some kid texting took the Jeep out.

So far like the Rogue. Decided to buy something that got better gas milage than 15mpg.

Need the hatchback, AWD and racks to haul kayaks and canoes. Installed a bumper hitch to haul a pontoon boat trailer (small rowable) or a jon boat.

Got the AWD premier package and a few other minor accessories.

So far I like the gas milage. Will be taking it on a road trip tonight for 10 hours, so we'll see how I like it afterwards.

Silver SL 2WD Premium

Had a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee but hated the 15mpg city and 20 hwy, that's the 3.7L V6. First tank on the Rogue the computer register 25.4 mixed city/hwy.

Will post some pics once the Yakima Kayak Rack is finished and the Rogue is loaded down with two 14ft Kayaks! On the initial install the wind noise was horrible probably due to the curviture of the roof and wind deflection. This vehicle will require the fairing to eliminate some of the noise.

I'm in the process of putting together an order for a Rogue. I'm ordering because no one has exactly what I want. Once or twice a year I tow my motorcycle to a rally. 4X8 landscape trailer is 400 lbs and the bike is 800 lbs. I currently drive a Ford Windstar which handles it nicely. The question no one can answer is why is the Rogue listed at 1000l bs towing except if you get Nissan's tow package and then it jumps to 1500l bs?The answer is not AWD over FWD. Out of four dealers in my area there was one who had a Rogue with the factory tow package and it was a FWD.They called me and offered to make me a good deal since it was an odd unit. When I went there it had been gone for a week. Needless to say they will not get my order. I called Nissan and their answer was the paddle shifters. Still doesn't sound right to me. Any thoughts out there? BTW my order will be:FWD SL Iridium Graphite/ Grey Int.MoonroofPremium PkgTow PkgSplash GuardsBumper ProtectorMatsCrossbarsMSRP $25390 I've been quoted $22274

Well, I just helped my mom to get a rogue SL AWD Premium, here in Canada. We will receive the car next week. The color will be airstream w/ 2tone red and black interior. It is going to be a lease and the selling price seems to be 30520 + destination. Which comes down to a monthly payment of 403.00+tx, I am not sure if I have got a good price though I have asked the dealer to install 3M protection films under the doorsill. Can't wait to drive it!

New Owner. Rogue wasn't on my test drive list, but the wife wanted to look. Replaced our aging Ford Escape b/c the new Escapes sucked.

2008 SL AWD, leather, moonroof, everything but the roof rails (damn dealer forgot to put them on and now states they weren't part of the deal even though the original sales sheet has them on it...not the final sales sheet though, my mistake)

Hello, everyone. I bought a Rogue S in March. I've had 2 Camaro's in the past, and I still own a Mustang, but as soon as I saw a picture of the Rogue I knew it would be my next car.

Anyway, I found this site by accident because I was looking for accessories. I'm glad I did. It looks like a good group here.
