I'm willing to donate $20+ and help organize it, but I need a date, just to make sure I'll be in town. Reserve obligations and Drift Day Atlanta have my weekends booked until the second week of May.

4 people so far including xyster (which hasn't sent me the email yet so i can get back to him with the organizer details.)

We are at a grand total of 55 bucks pledged, including myself. We need 20 more for the reservation and 25 more for BBQ goods (if not more).

You guys see if you can get some more folks to donate. I figured once we get to 100 bucks, i will start planning and I will provide a Paypal account for the donations.

I don't want cash transferred until we have enough people to cover the minimums. The rest is just good for more food and drinks.

If anyone wants to design a small sticker for the event organizers, i would appreciate the help. The event name will be

"The Dam 240sx Cookout" @ Buford Dam 2004

So come up with something creative. White on a black background preferrably due to cost. Maybe something with an outline of an s14 and an s13.

My friend you are trying to hard. It doesnt take much to get all my friends together. Why is it this hard to get 240 guys together?

Stickers?????????

Come on man. I wouldnt put those on my car. I have respect for my vehicle.

Does evrybody play pool????

Lets meet at a pool hall.

There will probably be like 5 people at the Dam. Lots of people cant go that far.

We need to meet at a Mall or something.

I sent you an email about being in on the picnic. Im not backing out, I just Know it wont be good. I coudnt even get people to meet at the Varsity!

Everyone is to lazy to make time.

Sorry for the negativity. I just experienced it.

You would be surprised how many 240 owner's live up here already. The stickers are just a fun thing to do. Throw them on your toolbox or whatever. I wouldn't put anything on my car either.

Chad, I talked to Chris May, once we get an event date down, he'll show up. Im sure I can pop an e-mail to the 240's over altanta guys, and see if jerome and them would want to go..Free food and maybe some drinks(can I bring some good stuff...nothging to hard, like maybe a few buiness bottles heineken and maybe some bud/coors or whatnot..)I'll pitch in 15 for the campsite, and then 20-30 in food and/or drinks...

plus draging my *** up there to beat everyone in horseshoes..hah.(I suck at them)

Since it'll probably be mid-afternoon meet, maybe afterwards a group could caravan to D+B gwinnett for some pool and drinks...just a thought.-chet

not a bad idea. i have already let the guys on the atlanta list know about it and given them a link to the thread. i think once we get enough in to reserve the area and set a date, things will snowball fast.

And by the way, i figured out what a jacknut was...see below:

marcos, the thing you have to realize is that everyone on here has different schedules that are generally not a constant one much like mine. you can't say let's have a meet less than a week ahead and truly expect people to show up.

camel, which park do you want to use? i think the lake cookout is a great idea and will definitely make the time to come out. instead of donations for food let's just bring individual items. i'll volunteer for charcoal/lighter fluid and cooking utensils, as well as hotdogs and buns, maybe more. may bring the boat out too if the weather's up to par.

another option is to do a mountain run/cookout the way we do it with the ImportAtlanta crowd all the time. there are so many parks up there to cook at like Vogel or Raven's Cliffs Falls and lots of random parking areas along the Richard Russell scenic highway to park lots of cars at (they were empty last weekend when we did a run and it was beautiful weather). i know plenty of good routes to take up there to keep it interesting too;) . either way we'll have a blast.

oh and camel, shoot me an email to [email protected] with your phone number if you want any help in organzing everything. i'm just as close to the lake as you are to if we need to scout some parks i'm game. i'll even volunteer to cook:ylsuper

I had scouted the areas at buford dam. 75 bucks to reserve the area for the day, parking and all. that is really what the donations are for anyway, not the food, that was just a plus. if you are up this way, we should meet up sometime.

i'm always around, like i said i'm in buford and have a few friends in sugar hill. [sarcasm] you should come up to the coolest hangout in town waffle house across from the mall of GA [/sarcasm];)

we need to run the riceboys out of there and take their place.

it's definately nice to hear and see how much hp your car makes, and what your car actually sounds like (mine sounds a lot nastier than I thought...*shrug*) in a dyno room, plus its kinda fun to compare mods, etc with other people and see what kind of numbers they put down. I'll ask jeff if they can do a discount rate for dynoes on a certain day if we give notice before hand(like a group discount)..

I would love to run on the dyno again. I would also really like to meet up for the cookout and would be more than happy to help with money.

BTW: I am taking the cam to work with me tomorrow so I can ship it. I am actually putting it in the car tonight so I don't forget again.
