Car: 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe 2.5s Black

Post

I've found throughout the internet that some people already have it. I won't be getting mine on the 25 , sadly, hopefully by mid July. Does anyone know if the 2.5s already includes standard the options for the convenience package on the sedan, because the Nissan web-site says there is a convenience package and the scan that mcheddadi posted says they are standard including the sunroof.

http://www.nissannews.com/niss...g.pdfthe convenience package is not included in the standard 2.5 Sand for the Moonroof, I don't know about US coupes, because in the PDF they seem to have it as an extra option 850$, but in the Canadian brochure that I posted they said It's standard for every coupe (2.5 S or 3.5 SE).

Here are some more links I've found, the first shows the 2.5s with CVT, apparently it has the convenience package, I hope they are standard. The 2.5s doesn't look very good in a light color, I prefer darker cars, I'm undecided between Dark Slate Gray or Azure Blue.http://crown-automotive.ebizau...90749And this one is being sold at e-bay, it's a 3.5 SE fully equiped, the color looks very nice. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem

Enjoy!!!

Damn that grey looks outstanding!I'm glad I made that decision! The only gripe I have is that the console could use some sprucing up, like the 350's or the G's (comparison made for visual reasons).Just a little too stark. I have the nav package coming so hopefully that will add some life to the center area. Thanks for the pic links!

Nissan down here is calling the color Azure Blue Metallic, it's confusing . Oh well, there's only one blue option. The Nissan web-site already took the Coupe from the future vehicles list, I wonder when they'll put it in the cars (out now) list so I can build it and see how the 2.5s looks in different colors, the rims really make a difference but I'm not a person of changing rims or nothing like that.

Just realized that the Precision Grey shown in those eBay pics is a US colour only. We get Niagara Grey up here in Canada, which is a shade darker than the Precision.

Yeah, I think they have different colors and options in Canada. I think they might look alot better without the splash guards, why does Nissan put splash guards on all their cars, my mom's 06' Altima has them and for a Sedan they are good, but not for a sporty car, are they dificult to take off?

Just got my 2008 Altima Coupe. Blue. First one in Ohio. It is everything it is reported to be. You all will love this car. It drives like a dream. I got the 3.3 SE and OMG, it flies. I had looked at the Solara before finding this. This makes the Solara a joke. I am trying to figure out how to post pics. I will when I figure it out.

By the way, some were asking about price. I got mine $300 below sticker but the other dealer I looked at was going $4000 over sticker. It is a limited release car. The dealer I brought from had a list of their deliveries. The next one wasn't for 2 weeks and then they were getting about 2 a month for the next 2 or 3 months. They don't plan on dealing on these much for the next 2 years is what I am told. Expect to pay full sticker if not slightly more. We bought two cars (girlfriend got an 07 Maxima) so they were a little more willing to deal for us. Just be forewarned that there seems to be a lot of interest in this car so mark ups might start coming soon if they aren't there already. After I bought mine, 3 people sat in it at the dealer and asked the salesman for test rides. They had to keep kicking them out of my baby.

hmmm I was at the dealership near my house last week and theyre getting more than 2 a month... theyre supposed to have like 4 in in June ... 2 presold and 2 more in stock and thats in Sherwood Park AB... it would seem that dealerships in bigger cities would have way more than that

The Coupes are beginning to hit everywhere. Most dealers will continue to hang around sticker for a little while. If the dealer near you wants $4,000 over sticker, look around. You can find a dealer that will be more reasonable. Even if you have to go out of state. It is worth it to save 4 grand! The sunroof is an option on 2.5S models. Sticker on one with a convenience package and a roof is $23,940. The sunroof is standard on a 3.5SE. So are fog lights. These start with a sticker of $26,190. The 3.5SE has a suspension very similar to the SE-R of last year. When started the 3.5 has a growl similar to the 350Z just not as pronounced. I have driven the 3.5SE and this car is born to run! The price points in the US are slightly higher than a similarly equipped sedan. Toxic, as far as your lease is concerned, you will be very close to where you want to be with $3,000 down. If you have not seen one of these or driven one yet, I highly recommend it. The US colors are as follows: Code Red, Radiant Silver, Precision Gray, Azure Blue, Dark Slate, Super Black, and Winter Frost. In my opinion, the black and white look incredible. I've seen the Dark Slate and it didn't look as good as I thought it would. The Red is beautiful. I have yet to see the other colors. These cars were built to be true coupes. Not a family sedan that has 2 doors. Back seat room is scarce and so is trunk space but, for what these cars will do, that is not a bad trade off. Good luck and happy Coupe hunting!

By the way. Toxik, there were about 1300 presold orders that Nissan had to fill first. That leaves 1700 to dealers. There are 1100 Nissan dealers in the US alone. It will be probably September before anyone is able to keep a good stock. Couple that with the fact that Nissan sent out 30,000 pre approval letters and these things could be hard to get for a little while.

yeah i do think that its really up to the dealer thing, unless the actual salespeople are lying to me. The first one I went to, the dealer told me they are getting a bunch more in next 2 weeks, and that they got a couple of pre-orders. The second dealer that I called today told me that the wait for the car is about 1-2months, depending when I order it. I'm gonna go there this weekend to talk to them and if anything I'll order it there. Because I don't really know who to believe...

As far as leasing it, I'm kinda thinking of getting a base model of the 3.5se. After adding the convinience package to a 2.5s and a sunroof, it's almost 24k, whereas a base 3.5se comes with all of that plus a bigger engine and more features for only 2k more. I hope I would be able to get a lease deal for low 300's, like 320 or 330 or so, with a couple of thousand down as a down payment.

What sucks is that no dealers have the freaking lease rates, I think NMAC is waiting til June 1st to release the rates to them.

Many dealers in my area recieved more coupes yesterday, or the day before. My preferred dealer now has the car exactly how I wan't it, but I still have to get paid to go and get it, hopefully they don't sell it.

Post pictures if you can.

It seems to be up to the dealer and the enthusiasm of the sales people as to where there will be availability of Coupes for a while. Here in South Louisiana, one dealer has sold all three they received 15 minutes after they were put on the lot. One dealer, one of the top ten in the nation, has only received 4 and sold 2. Some dealers still have the 2 or three that they have received. The dealership that has sold out, sold all at sticker. Now maybe these others are asking for more than sticker. I do know that the largest dealer in the nation in Houston has only received 4. They have 1 left. So if dealers are telling you they will receive a couple of truckloads in 2 weeks, either they don't really know or they are lying. I've said it before and I will say it again, there will not be any dealers with over 5 or 6 of these on the lot until at least September.

Hope this helps.

That was 2.5S numbers. The 3.5SE has the same money factor but the residuals are as follows. 6-speed 42% CVT 43%
For those of you wondering, Nissan dealers have had these lease rates since May 22nd. The reason some dealers are say otherwise is because you cannot charge over sticker price on a lease. If a salesperson tells you that the rates have not been released, ask to speak to a sales manager. If he tells you the same thing, they are lying! If anyone needs these rates PM me and I'll give them to you. It also wouldn't hurt to print this and take it to your dealer if you are thinking about leasing. Hope this helps out.

BTW---This quote was not originally Toxik's but it was copied from another thread.

Thanks Arthwerks, it helps to know that some dealers are lying. A delar called me yesterday to test drive the Coupe, but I'll just wait, they know I'm leasing so I guess they are on sticker price. I think that the lease rates will change since the car was new on may and lease companies might have not know the demand for the car, the coupe's residual value will probably be higher than the seadan so that can be a good thing for leasors, I think.

Well I just got back from the dealer, Queens Nissan, and I signed a deal. They were the first with the lease rates for June. They had a special for a 2.5s base model for 24 months, 259 a month lease.

I ended up ordering a 2.5S (black) with the convinience package for 290/month for 39 months. Now I just gotta wait for them to get the car heh. Can't wait

Good, how was the down payment, do you have the numbers they are using? I will be hitting the dealers in a couple weeks. Also, how long do you have to wait for the order.
