I'm not confused about anything and I can visualize what you're describing... but as I mentioned earlier (possibly in another thread) my cousin had an altima sedan and he bought 20x 8.5 rims with a +35 offset. This caused his wheels to stick out a bit past his fender. When he put folks in the backseat and went over bumps, his rear fender scraped on the outer edge of his tires. Now granted that was an earlier model sedan with a wheelbase different from that of the coupe, it still made me a bit weary about putting 8.5 wide rims with a +35 offset onto a vehicle that comes stock with +45 offset wheels. I think 20 x 7.5 wheels with a +35mm offset would be fine with a 1" drop, but not 20 x 8.5 with a +35 offset. In any case, I think LBC was clear as to why I asked him the qiesions I did.

Aren't LBC's wheels flush with the fender?

They are flush... a little TOO flush... if you dropped it an inch and lifted the wheel, it would be hitting the fender i believe

Actually, I like the wind deflector. I went through discount tire to get my wheels and tires, so they mounted and balanced them for me.

HEY! I didn't realize it was you! Thanks a lot for showing me this forum, I really like it a lot. As far as that ring goes....I honestly have no idea. I know a lot about home and car audio ....but not much about things like this. I have to trust that Discount tire took every precaution necessary to make it work right......ha....because that is what I paid them $1750 for!!!

Oh....and for resizing pictures....you can always use software like photoshop, etc., but I use photobucket.com to load all of my pictures. Hope it helps!

Not that I owe you an explanation ........

Yes I do own a G - if you read most threads I have started - they have offered good tips and advice that apply regardless of what car you own.

As to why I'm on this forum - Nico allows me to be, I have positive things to contribute, and obviously the Altima Coupe is considered by many to be the poor man's G35 (don;t get offended by the term, also I didn;t make that up). I also speak up if I disagree with something.

The Altima has the same basic engine and uses styling cues from the G35's signature lines. Many people have considered a used g35 as an alternative to the Altima Coupe.

Good Luck!

I'm sorry but your first post has gotten you off on my bad side. Keep comments like this to yourself. Everyone has their own taste and opinion.

You appear to be a troll but I won't jump to any conclusions yet.

I Agree. What gives you the right to be so rude?

Keep your childish comments to yourself, I don't think anyone here cares for them.

Yeah I know all about the "poor man's G35"...and I too was considering a used G35 or a base model new G35 and chose the altima instead...evreybody has their preference, that's cool... but as I said, this is an altima coupe forum, and most of us are asking altima coupe questions. Your car is a rear wheel drive with completely different offsets...can you intelligently answer questions about LBC's rims...NO!!! You're not there and no amount of (8.5 / 2) + 3.5cm/2.54 .... equations in your head would allow you to answer the questions I asked LBC, unless you had the exact same setup on your car, which we established earlier as a virtual impossibility being that you don't own an A/C

Your contribution on this subject was not helpful AT ALL... I didn't ask for a general opnion, I asked for LBC to help me out with info and he did. There's no need to get offensive or defensive about this... its simple..., if someone asks a general question in the forum, and we think our opinion can contribute postively, then we give it, if not, we should keep our comments and our threads to ourself. Like the guy that blasted LBC's choice in rims...completely childish and unnecessary...that's not what these forums are designed for.

Oh and if you're cluless as to the above equation, all the more reason not to comment

My wheels were about $270 per wheel, and my tires were about $160 per tire. this was with warranties, lug kit, mounting, etc. These were a brand new wheel style that I REALLY liked, and $270 per wheel was a lot less expensive than any other quote I got.

I found out that one can order emblems straight from Nissan, so if you have a 2.5S and want to fool other into thinking you have the 3.5SE well now you can! lol

Wow, crazy. I guess that just goes to show how big the wheel wells in the coupe are.

There are ways to stop that as well

Lets get back to exchanging info on the Coupe. That guy was a disruption.
