The message was that they have oil filters for the altima hybrid!!!SHIFT_COUPE wrote:

This may be a stupid question, since I've never replaced stock wheels, and everything I know about physics I learned in high school. A wider tire = more rolling resistance. A larger diameter tire = higher moment of inertia. A larger wheel = more unsprung weight. However, none of the above will have that big an effect on mileage. But won't replacing a 17" with an 18" cause you to have inaccurate readings on the trip computer, including mpg calculations?KayaVibration wrote:I am down about 1 MPG going from 17" to 18" on a 3.5.
The diameter of the wheel really wouldn't matter as long as the tires match up to give an equal total wheel & tire diameter.Betimbe wrote:

I was thinking of changing the badges if I got my coupe... But I was going to get a 3.5 SE Coupe and change the badges to 2.5 S and then get some moderate performance mods for it... HEHEHE and make it a "2.5 S sleeper" LOL... I just thought it would be funny to do... I could see the posts now, "I died to a 2.5 S Coupe", lol... dont know if I'd actually end up doing it, but the thought is funny IMO,mcheddadi wrote:I found out that one can order emblems straight from Nissan, so if you have a 2.5S and want to fool other into thinking you have the 3.5SE well now you can! lol

Nope, not even close! I'm running 18x8 +45 offset and I'd even go 19's if I found a nice set. As long as your total wheel/tire diameter stays the same or very close, you're good to go. 20's are a bit too extreme for me though, but guys run those also.mikemart wrote:generic808 (or anybody else),is a jump from 16in stock to 18in after market too extreme?
At this point you are seeing mostly rims because that is what is available now. The aftermarket hasnt caught up yet. I think I can count the major mods avail so far:acousticdank wrote:cool thread but I almost feel like there should be a separate thread for wheels/rims. I'd say 90% of this thread is about wheels/rims which is obviously an exterior mod, but I guess I was expecting more info on other mods.
ya, that makes sense. i guess i'll just sit tight and waitCali 2 Balti G wrote:

wheels, grille (2 styles - and it seems like coupe owners like neither)rear spoiler (removing the sun deflector doenst count )uh I think that is it so far - I don;t count tint as a mod
I'm new to TPMS but from what the local tire shop guys say, you can't reuse the old TPMS on new wheels if they are a larger size. Now I don't know how true that is, but I don't want to spend another $300+ for new sensors. I've just been dealing with the light with a piece of black tape over itSerkle K wrote:Just wondering... How your cars are with the aftermarker wheels and the TPMS... did you change over/get new sensors? or are you just dealing witht the warning light? Can you even add sensors to aftermarket wheels?
Are those Blue calipers painted or are those Vauxhall calipers? If they are the Vauxhall's where did you get them and how much did they set you back?mcheddadi wrote:I think I found a great set of wheels for the Altima coupe, these are 19" wheels:

Can you tell me specifically what wheels those are, where you purchased them and if you if they are available in a smaller size (like an 18)?azcoupe wrote:

Thanks for the info on the calipers, thats what I thought. I was looking for info on the wheels from AZCOUPE. I think I may have found them but I'm not sure. They look like they are the Ruff Racing 281 wheels.mcheddadi wrote:

the calipers are from a Vauxhall, but you can paint them the same as your altima coupe with some touchup paint or something
