OK I finally got the sucker on tonight and held the turbo in place with one hand and snapped pics with the other.

Yeah now that I look at it closer, it is probably just some kind of surface protectant/primer to keep it from rusting. It is made of steam pipe so it is about 3.5mm thick.

Enough talky, more picky...

LMAO! How long did I have you all thinking that I was going 35R? At least a year

And to answer your question, I should probably weigh it but I would guess that it is no more than 12 lbs. It is hefty though.

looks like you either need to clock down the compressor outlet; looks like it may rub the brake resevoir the way it is in your pics

Boostsfed - I just clocked the exhaust side to get it to sit on there somewhat right and didn't bother with the compressor side. Hell I didnt' even bolt the turbo on. I am also planning on moving the PS lines and reservoir out of the way so that's no biggy. On a side note, notice how much condensation there is on my valve covers? That is why I'm thinking I had that milky haze in the oil sitting on my cam retainer bolts. It gets like that every day I warm the garage up.

coreansurfer - I looked down the collector and it was immaculate. I will have a closer look at the runners tonight since I just wanted to slap it on and see how it fit last night. Will post pics later.

bumblebtuna - I paid $1195USD shipped for the forward facing style. Seth paid a little less for the standard position and he should get his today or tomorrow. I know he'll post pics up for us

Coolwhip - I don't think ours are the same. I think yours was made by a company like ETS or MTS or something like that. Isn't that right? The runners are definitely not 1/4" thick, like I said somewhere around 3.5mm or just over 1/8".

Matt, I'm Shocker not Coolwhip.. lol, anyways yeah, they must use the same flanges then.. Heres a pic of mine, I washed it in parts cleaner after welding and ruined the paint, its heat wrapped anyways now....

Notice the flange is the same for the head.

Man, that turbo is in yo face! You should run blow thru just so you can leave that sweet *** turbo just like that at car shows and what not when you can pull the filter off.

Crap! Sorry Shocker. It was early Yeah the collector looks similar too. Very clean inside. They could use the same supplier because that part is not fabricated by 6Boost, just the runners from the flange to the collector and the size of the flange on the collector.

I could be a show car ricer and pull the intake filter and MAF off for shows and then put it all together when I go to drive home.

Its all good, Yeah you could do that, or could be a man and convert to MAP! No need for that junk then. ( I still run a filter lol don't need all that dirt in my motor)

Seth - Could you get a pic of the manifold on the engine in the car? I'm curious to see how your manifold fits compared to mine and how much room is available for wastegate placement.
