Yep, wicked fast. Impressive to say the least.

On a side note, lets stop criticizing the friggin thread. Anyone can offer any opinion they want...anytime. Really, nuff said on the whole topic. I think I was the only one that voiced a semi negative comment, and I only said I wasn't impressed...who gives a sh1t what I have to say. Its my opinion, not anyone elses. I never said AMS wasn't a kickass shop, I never said Chris' car was slow. The bandwagon comments were towards everyone who basically said I couldn't have an opinion. Guess what...I do. Like I said, it wasn't even a bad opinion, you guys are just over sensitive.

I have been one of the first supporters of AMS from the jump. The shop has pushed out some fantastic products, that has never even been in question. AMS is the first shop I recommend to someone who's budget can afford more then SSAC EBAY parts.

Great work Chris, I look forward to ALL of the future things that come form you guys.

Chris, do you think that having the intake "not hood friendly" will make for a compromise down the road, when you create an intake that's "bent" to clear the hood? Additionally, will you also provide dyno results with the actual production manifold, to show whether or not the curve of the intake runners makes a difference?

The curved runners should have no effect on flow according to the design. You know I'm going to provide actual results! That is what we do here!

when is the "production, hood friendly intake" gonna be released? I just want an intake. I have also toyed with the idea of getting a SH***y SR knockoff mani off ebay and cutting the flange off and putting a KA flange on? are the SR ports even close? if so I'll bust this thing out in 2 days. Let me know, I'm just not the best welder when it comes to aluminum so trying to fab one up would just be an ugly mistake

Congrats, car looks like a blast in mine.

I'm hoping to be hanging with Ivan in the 700-750whp range (on race gas and nitrous) in the next 4-6 weeks in our GT4088R RB26DETT 1998 240SX.

I can attest to a 400+ whp S-chassis, and it's ability to whip *** on the streets. I think the kid in the Cobra Mustang with exhaust (and who knows what else) shat himself tonight.

My GT30 fully built KA-T is putting down around 430 at the wheels, and it's insanely fun to drive.

But like all good projects, this one is morphing as well. We need to see *precisely* how much horsepower *can* be made with the KA. It's gonna take months to do, and there are hurdles in the way, but I'm in no hurry.

what do you mean by hanging? (dyno-wise or track-wise)

Heh, whenever I hear people being a bit disspointed with 400whp type numbers, I keep thinking to that night when one of my friends tuned this kid's sil80 (SR of course but hey), the car was MINT, it was one of the better tunes SRs, and one of the cleaner/well maintained hatches, with that rare deep green color, good suspension, and nice rims. The kid wanted 350whp, my friend did 320 just to be on the safe side (close to 300 ft lb too, amazing for SR with the turbo he ran, I forget what it was). The kid was all "awww man, I wanted 350, blah blah blah"My friend was like "Dude, you've never driven anything even this fast, be careful, S13s are scarier to drive than s14s, just take it easy, learn the car, be careful"The kid nagged a bit more, and then finally left, I think from NY back to NJ.

He wiped out TWICE on the goddamn highway. Once, coming out of the f-in tollbooth, in front of a cop no less, right into some ditch. He then decided it was too much for him and sold the car.

450WHP is monster. It takes quite some tiem to know how to handle it. It's not GT3.

Take it easy you guys, this is damn good power.
