Hey Sean. Looks like a pretty legit meet! I'm definitely interested in attending.

The only way that I may not be able to make it is if I have successfully started and completed my fender cutting and flare installation. I have some pretty serious meat going on the wheels, and it's not ideal for highway use. muwahahahaha (see below)

If I haven't gotten around to putting those flares on (which carries a high probability), then I will for sure head out there. I may just drive up in my daily if the 240 is trailer-queen status at that point.

A few pics for the thread (I have more, but meh, it's past midnight):

They will take my car from quick, to ridiculously insane. I'm very, VERY excited for August seat time.

Mother of pearl... that offset is insane! Huge mofo'in tires are the way to go!!!

Yeah, the R888's are not really meant for street use. I can drive to the track with them, but I dunno if I want to do that. Pacific Raceways is about 20 mins away from my house, but Bremerton and Portland International are way too far to drive.

I would really like to see your swap. It's one of, if not the cleanest 26's I've seen in an S chassis.

In a straight line it's a beast. After the new set of rubber goes on, braking and cornering will be equally beast-like.

There are some vids on the previous page in this thread. They are on the street so I didn't get up to speed, but you can get an idea.

Perhaps a front strut tower is needed, but beyond that what did you have in mind?

Actually if you like the way the car feels, and handles. Nothing is needed.

A lime green sub frame however would look nice. Well; in your case a gold sub frame would look nice.

Wise words, indeed. ^_^ I actually really do like how my car handles, and I've grown accustomed to the feel over the last 10+ track days and thousands of miles. I'll be having the suspension re-tuned once I get the flares and tires on. MOAR FRONT REBOUND PLZ THX.

Hehe a gold sub frame would be SIIIIICK... but it would be covered up by my under tray that is soon to be made.

Well, the moment of truth has arrived. I'll be chopping the crap out of my car today to install my flares. Then, tomorrow the new tires shall be mounted! Pics to come...

The flares are officially on the car! I still need to take them off to spray them satin black and to weld up the rear unibody cutouts, but all the cutting and hardware has been tested.

I'll be getting the tires mounted and wheels back on the car tomorrow, and will be posting pics soon.

Need to buy some spacers tomorrow...

Thank you everyone, for all of the very nice words.

Chop chop! Here are a few pics of yesterday's action. My friend's dad (master fabricator) offered to help with the cutting.

p.s. Anyone spot that there is NO RUST AT ALL inside the unibody? It's a 20 year old car!

Where I sit 12 hours per day: Just a nice picture:

Taping her up:

Drilling holes in the flares:

Measured, aligned, whateva:

The moment of truth:
