Cool. I'm sure you've been searching too, but I didn't get any soild answer. I want to see if there's anyone with bad experience. If I see some, I wouldn't get it.hybrid_flyer wrote:+1 for this I was considering it also
you don't need to remove the crossmember, it just slides in and outS14toRPS13 wrote:Sorry for the thread jack but how was the installation with the one piece driveshaft also? Did you need to undo the cross member? I'd imagine it being a one that you'd have to have the transmission hanging at an angle.
Just ordered one from Shaftmasters. David was a nice guy to deal with. Can't wait to try it on my car!!SideWays=smiles wrote:I love my Shaftmasters 1 piece alloy shaft.
I listened to this guy and AZHitman.sunnys14 wrote:I think im going to go with Shaftmasters, theyre $100 cheaper than DDS and free shipping!
I called both places and both of them they were nice. Like you said shaftermaster is $100 cheaper, so I went with them. David from shaftmaster said he's sold over 100 of them with no problems. He also said if it vibrates or makes noise due to defect, he will replace it. DDS also said the same thing.Emperor_Tha wrote:I had both drive shaft company, shaftmaster is the better bang for a buck
I've got one too. Fit perfect, no noises. Love it.AZhitman wrote:Love my Shaftmasters 1-pc AL shaft.
Stock shaft is heavy. Besides, it has this rubber bushing on the transmission side just like steering shaft bushing. I think this is supposed to absorb impact to give you smooth acceleration. According to FSM, you are not supposed to disassemble this piece. If rubber goes bad, you are supposed to replace front half.sbird1 wrote:Shaftmasters shaft is extremely light. 11 lbs. doesn't sound too far off. It is significantly lighter than stock.
