Here's my first upgrade. That bench seat had to go.
 What a difference!

A proper front bumper. Aluminum wheels. A less rust bed and a fiberglass cap.

Where'd the seats come from? I am trying to ditch my bench. I dislike caps. Nice truck though. The lil' Hustlers are great!

The seats are from a Pathfinder. I'm not much for caps either but it's been indespensible for my hauling needs.

look for some 88 starion seats, they're made by Recaro and hug you just as good as any of those expensive sparco or recaro premium seats. Prolly the best factory bucket seat, puts all others to shame. peace.

Here's the donor for my body panels. I got the hood, cowl, both fenders, both doors and all 4 wheel flares. The paint is great and no rust. I also got the dash, wiring and misc. I plan to utilize the PW - PL - PM that came with the doors. I also plan to add PS - AC - cruise - int wipers, tilt.

I just grabbed a set of Pathy seats and you are right...what a huge difference!! I am now on the hunt for a king cab center console. I might try to make something out of using that and the arm rest piece out of a pathy. If only I could find gray.Nice work BTW!

I have an interior out of a 1993 Pathfinder in gray. I'm using those seats until I get mine modified. I don't want a full length center console. I have a briefcase bag I take with me most times and it fits perfect between the seats and under the armrests.I have SeaLab 2021 recorded on Dvd's. Made them myself, but am missing the first 8 shows.

I decided to install the Pathfinder body panels over the weekend. I also installed driving lights using the factory wiring, relay and switch. Then I installed the AC condensor along with the low and high lines. And gave it a wash - I forgot I had white lettter tires. I wired the power windows today and will get to the power locks, power mirrors and remote entry soon. Before.
 After.

I added Pathfinder fender flares with splash guards. And Smitty Built nerf bars. But I'm unsure if I'll keep them on.
And I added the Pathfinder door panels.

I knew you'd get it. The hood mat came with the hood. I have the gray door panels that came with the doors, I won't be needed them. I'm using the taupe door panels that match the seats. My design for the hood struts, we'll see how they fair with time. I also have all the underhood ac components installed, except for the compressor.

Yes they are. After installation I did notice the Pathfinder has a wider track. At least in the front. The rear flares hang low in the back. But not too noticable.

Rev D. Do you have any experience in std bed vs ext cab std bed? I'm still researching but it looks like an ext cab std bed may fit a std cab. And if you know anyone that could use a 7' bed, I know where a rust free one sits.

I don't think so. I think the length of the bed from the front to the fender well is longer on a king cab thn on a reg bed. You'd have to extend the frame to get it to fit right.

Per the shop manual, all the bed to frame mounts are in the same position. As far as the reg cab - reg bed vs ext cab - reg bed. I may have to try it to see first hand. I'll take actual measurements first. Here's another mod, an adjustable shoulder belt heigth. The factory position was too high for me and uncomfortable.

Got around to painting some bare metal interior pieces. I used a color to blend with the interior color. I also started to clean the climate ducting and will be adding the ac evap core soon. I stripped an 1989 for the dash braces and climate ducting for a faster turn around.

Went to a U Pull the other day and found a bunch of odds and ends. Found a leather wheel from an 1988 Maxima.
And a rear carpet panel and speaker covers in my color.

Nissan uses a metal speaker mount that attaches to the back wall with 3) hex bolts. I drilled 4) holes in them to mount my speakers. I was using the Pioneer speaker covers until yesterday. But there's fabricating needed to use the original covers. I had to cut 3) reliefs in the speaker frame to allow a through way for the Nissan cover bolts. The 3) fake cover bolts had to be removed for clearance. I'll probably shorten their length then reinstall. Then I used a plastic 'cap' at each speaker cover bolt to act as a riser and a stop so the speaker cover does not dish down and posibly crack at the bolt hole. Got all that? In other words - it wasn't easy. A picture is worth a thousand words.

Right and wrong. It's actually the regular cab bed that's longer from the fender well forward. You could put a king cab bed on a reg cab truck, but you'd have a huge gap between the bed and the cab.

It might look even better if you lose the Nissan hamburger. My new grille is almost the same as yours except it's slotted for Pathy headlights. I'm think I am going to ditch the hamburger.

I may just do that. I had been considering removing the tailgate 'Nissan' or moving it centered. I picked up an aluminum grill guard / push bar at the U Pull. Twas $19 but the steel attachment hardware gave me a workout. I'll be painting it black. I had no idea aluminum was available.

I was able to find and recondition a SE tailgate trim on mine. It really sets the rear of the truck off.
I installed it with 3M tape, didn't use the brackets because those require oval holes be punched in the sheet metal. It's been on for 3 months now with no problems. I also changed the front valance/apron from the color matched metal to one off an 87 Pathfinder. Truck-Lite sells a 3 bulb amber ICC light panel for big trucks that fits on the lower apron perfectly, as if it was meant to be there. Nissan even provided the mounting holes!

Does your tailgate have the indent for that panel? I considered getting one but noticed the tailgate was indented. Instead, I got a set of 4) bed pop up tie downs. And do you have a vertical power rear window? I was considering adding the Pathfinder front apron. The same piece you removed.
