My first post here.I bought a friends 90 2wd 2.4 manual almost a year ago.It needed some attention.I got it running properly (almost) and to date have done some upgrades.I'll keep posting updates here as they happen.I've grown to love this little truck and wonder how I ever did with out it.Bear with me as I learn this site.

Where'd the seats come from? I am trying to ditch my bench. I dislike caps. Nice truck though. The lil' Hustlers are great!

The seats are from a Pathfinder.I'm not much for caps either but it's been indespensible for my hauling needs.

look for some 88 starion seats, they're made by Recaro and hug you just as good as any of those expensive sparco or recaro premium seats. Prolly the best factory bucket seat, puts all others to shame. peace.

I just grabbed a set of Pathy seats and you are right...what a huge difference!! I am now on the hunt for a king cab center console. I might try to make something out of using that and the arm rest piece out of a pathy. If only I could find gray.

Nice work BTW!

I have an interior out of a 1993 Pathfinder in gray.I'm using those seats until I get mine modified.I don't want a full length center console.I have a briefcase bag I take with me most times and it fits perfect between the seats and under the armrests.

I have SeaLab 2021 recorded on Dvd's.Made them myself, but am missing the first 8 shows.

I decided to install the Pathfinder body panels over the weekend.I also installed driving lights using the factory wiring, relay and switch. Then I installed the AC condensor along with the low and high lines. And gave it a wash - I forgot I had white lettter tires.I wired the power windows today and will get to the power locks, power mirrors and remote entry soon.Before.After.

Looking good! Sealab is amazing and if you ask me the first season was the funniest. I am thinking about swapping in a Pathy grille and H/Ls.

Yes they are. After installation I did notice the Pathfinder has a wider track. At least in the front. The rear flares hang low in the back. But not too noticable.

Rev D.Do you have any experience in std bed vs ext cab std bed?I'm still researching but it looks like an ext cab std bed may fit a std cab.And if you know anyone that could use a 7' bed, I know where a rust free one sits.

I don't think so. I think the length of the bed from the front to the fender well is longer on a king cab thn on a reg bed. You'd have to extend the frame to get it to fit right.

Per the shop manual, all the bed to frame mounts are in the same position. As far as the reg cab - reg bed vs ext cab - reg bed.I may have to try it to see first hand.I'll take actual measurements first. Here's another mod, an adjustable shoulder belt heigth. The factory position was too high for me and uncomfortable.

Got around to painting some bare metal interior pieces.I used a color to blend with the interior color.I also started to clean the climate ducting and will be adding the ac evap core soon.I stripped an 1989 for the dash braces and climate ducting for a faster turn around.

Here's a photo shop of the grill mod I've been considering.I'd be removing the inner, thinner bars. Here's the stock grill.

I am picking up a rear carpet on Saturday. How did you mount those speakers?

Nissan uses a metal speaker mount that attaches to the back wall with 3) hex bolts.I drilled 4) holes in them to mount my speakers.I was using the Pioneer speaker covers until yesterday. But there's fabricating needed to use the original covers.I had to cut 3) reliefs in the speaker frame to allow a through way for the Nissan cover bolts. The 3) fake cover bolts had to be removed for clearance.I'll probably shorten their length then reinstall. Then I used a plastic 'cap' at each speaker cover bolt to act as a riser and a stop so the speaker cover does not dish down and posibly crack at the bolt hole.Got all that?In other words - it wasn't easy.A picture is worth a thousand words.
